Maintenance Tips
  • Install the controller in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated indoor location to prevent moisture and heat damage.
  • Ensure proper airflow around the heatsink; avoid sealed enclosures that trap heat.
  • Regularly inspect PV, battery, and load terminals for tightness, corrosion, or discoloration.
  • Use correctly sized cables to reduce voltage drop and prevent overheating under high current.
  • Clean dust from vents and heat sinks periodically to maintain efficient thermal performance.
  • Verify correct system voltages (battery and PV input) to avoid over-voltage or controller shutdown.
  • Always maintain proper battery bank health (same type, age, and capacity) for stable MPPT charging performance.
  • Check fuses, breakers, and disconnect switches for wear or tripping issues.
  • Avoid reverse polarity connections—this can permanently damage the controller.
  • Inspect wiring insulation for heat, UV damage, or rodent wear, especially in off-grid setups.
  • Ensure equalization settings are only used with compatible flooded lead-acid batteries.
  • Perform semi-annual system checks including grounding integrity and connection torque.              Â
