What our Experts Think
  • High-capacity 48V 200Ah LiFePO₄ storage (≈10.24 kWh) delivers serious energy reserves for off-grid homes, solar systems, and backup power setups.
  • Lithium iron phosphate chemistry (LiFePO₄) ensures exceptional safety, thermal stability, and long cycle life compared to traditional battery types.
  • Consistent voltage output under load improves inverter performance and supports sensitive electronics and heavy appliances more reliably.
  • Deep-cycle durability allows frequent charging and discharging with minimal capacity degradation over time.
  • Integrated Battery Management System (BMS) protects against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, and temperature extremes.
  • High usable capacity efficiency provides more real-world energy compared to similarly rated lead-acid banks.
  • Scalable system design allows multiple batteries to be connected for expanded storage in larger installations.
  • Ideal for serious solar + backup power systems requiring long-lasting, maintenance-free, high-performance energy storage.

Q&A

Q: What is the AIMS Power LFP48V200A used for?
A: Aims Power LiFePO4 48V 200 AH Lithium Battery - LFP48V200A is a high-capacity lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) deep-cycle battery designed for off-grid solar systems, backup power, RVs, cabins, and industrial energy storage.

Q: How much energy storage does this battery provide?
A: It delivers approximately 10.24 kWh of usable energy (48V × 200Ah ≈ 9600Wh nominal, up to ~10.2 kWh depending on voltage range), making it suitable for large-scale energy storage systems.

Q: What type of battery chemistry is used?
A: It uses LiFePO₄ (lithium iron phosphate), known for high safety, thermal stability, and long cycle life compared to lead-acid batteries.

Q: Is this battery suitable for solar systems?
A: Yes. It is commonly used in 48V solar setups where efficient storage, fast charging, and deep discharge capability are required.

Q: What are the main advantages over lead-acid batteries?
A: It offers significantly longer cycle life (thousands of cycles), higher usable capacity, lighter weight, and no maintenance requirements.

Q: Does it include a Battery Management System (BMS)?
A: Yes. It includes a built-in BMS that protects against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, temperature extremes, and cell imbalance, while also supporting cell balancing and monitoring.

Q: Can multiple batteries be used together?
A: Yes. It supports parallel expansion (commonly up to around 10 units depending on system design) to increase total storage capacity.

Q: What applications is it best suited for?
A: It is ideal for off-grid homes, commercial solar systems, backup power systems, and heavy-duty renewable energy storage where long runtime and reliability are critical.

Maintenance Tips
  • Keep it in a cool operating range (around 15–30°C) to maximize cycle life and avoid thermal stress on the BMS.
  • Avoid storing it fully discharged; recharge regularly and don’t let it sit below ~20–30% SOC for long periods.
  • Use only a proper 48V LiFePO₄ charger profile (CC/CV ~56V charge cutoff) to prevent overvoltage damage.
  • Inspect and re-tighten high-current terminals and busbars periodically to avoid heat buildup under heavy inverter loads.
  • Keep firmware/BMS monitoring (RS485/CAN) active if available so voltage, temperature, and SOC issues are caught early.
  • Protect from extreme cold during charging (charging below freezing can trigger BMS protection or cell damage).
