Designed for the Search and Rescue Diver. The SAR BC, along with the 911 BC, was introduced in 1997 in response to many requests from Public Safety divers for systems designed to fit their needs. Identical to the 911, except for the addition of a permanently installed lifting harness for helicopter, cliff or swiftwater work.

Rinse After Each Dive: Rinse the entire BCD thoroughly with fresh water to remove salt, chlorine, and debris. Make sure to inflate the bladder slightly and allow water to flow through it by pressing the inflator button.
Flush the Bladder: After each dive, fill the bladder with clean water, swish it around, and drain it completely. Inflate and deflate the bladder a few times to ensure all contaminants are flushed out.
Inspect the Rip Cord System: Regularly check the rip cord system for smooth operation. Ensure the rip cord is free from obstructions and that it deploys easily when needed. Periodically test the system to ensure it functions properly.
Check for Leaks: Inflate the BCD fully and listen for any leaks. Inspect all connection points, dump valves, and the bladder for signs of damage or wear. If you notice any air leaks, inspect and replace damaged O-rings or parts as needed.
Lubricate Valves: Apply silicone-based lubricant to the inflator and dump valve mechanisms. This ensures smooth operation and helps prevent any issues with valve performance. Avoid petroleum-based lubricants, as they can damage rubber parts.
Dry and Store Properly: After rinsing, hang the BCD in a shaded, well-ventilated area to allow it to dry completely. Ensure all parts, especially the bladder and valves, are completely dry before storing to prevent mold and mildew buildup.
Store with Care: Store the BCD partially inflated in a cool, dry place to help maintain its shape and prevent unnecessary stress on the bladder. Avoid storing the BCD in direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
Annual Service: Have the BCD serviced annually by a professional technician. This ensures all components, including the rip cord system, valves, and bladder, are in top working condition for safety and reliability during dives.
