First Team Guardian Tennis Post System - Guardian TNPS

First Team introduces the Guardian tennis post system. The Guardian tennis post line is extremely durable and versatile, capable of meeting the needs of any top-notch court. The Guardian post is manufactured from 3.5" OD heavy-duty 1/4" thick high tensile aluminum. Straight and true, the Guardian will stand up to high use courts and allow proper game tension on the net with no bowing on the posts. The internal worm gear net tensioner winch has a clean look and is safe for users. Our exclusive winch is made from heavy-duty stainless steel and is far stronger than our competitor's common brass winch design. A heavy-duty double top six net with coated top cable is included with each Guardian package. Center strap and anchor also included. Each Guardian package includes ground sleeves for easy post-installation and removal. Guardian TNPS includes standard PVC sleeves, while Guardian TNSO includes our exclusive hinged sockets. These sockets are particularly useful on multi-purpose courts where a smooth flush surface is desired when tennis posts are removed. Guardian TNSO also includes our exclusive Flush Mount strap anchor for the flush surface when not in use.

Q&A

Q: What is the First Team Guardian Tennis Post System – Guardian TNPS?
A: A professional‑grade tennis court post and net system with heavy‑duty construction, purpose‑built to provide reliable, regulation net support for outdoor tennis courts.

Q: What’s included in the TNPS package?
A: It includes Guardian posts, a heavy‑duty double top six tennis net, PVC ground sleeves, a standard anchor, and a center strap with anchor — everything needed for a permanent court setup.

Q: What materials are used in this system?
A: The posts are made from 3.5″ OD schedule 40 high‑tensile aluminum with a black powder‑coat finish, and the net comes with a vinyl‑coated cable designed for outdoor durability.

Q: How does the net tensioning work?
A: It uses a safe internal worm gear winch made of heavy‑duty stainless steel that won’t backdrive, ensuring consistent net tension without frequent adjustment.

Q: Can this system be installed on different court surfaces?
A: Yes — the TNPS model uses PVC sleeves for in‑ground posts. Alternatives (like hinged sockets or surface mount styles) are available for multipurpose courts or where below‑ground installation isn’t ideal.

Q: Is this system appropriate for competitive play?
A: Absolutely — the rigid aluminum posts and durable net components are engineered to handle high‑use courts and repeated playing conditions.

Maintenance Tips
  • Clean Posts & Bases: Wipe down posts and base with a soft cloth and mild soap to remove dirt, sweat, and debris.
  • Check Anchors & Stability: Regularly inspect anchoring hardware and tighten all bolts to ensure posts remain upright and secure.
  • Inspect Winch & Cable: Test the winch mechanism and tension cable for smooth operation; lubricate lightly if needed.
  • Protect Against Corrosion: Touch up chipped paint or coating to prevent rust, especially in outdoor or humid environments.
  • Store Properly When Not in Use: If portable, disassemble and store in a dry, ventilated area to avoid moisture damage.
  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Use gentle cleaners to preserve finishes and protect the integrity of the posts.
  • Tension Adjustment: Maintain proper net tension to prevent strain on posts and hardware.
