Liberty Safe AMSEC B5800 American Security Floor Safe Super Brute

AMSEC's Super Brute B5800 floor safe offers extra large storage capacity along with high security for your valuables in the floor.

Look no further, the Super BRUTE is here! AMSEC really outdid themselves on the B5800 floor safe, often considered one of the best, if not the best, floor safe line on the market today.

When properly installed in concrete, the AMSEC B5800 offers excellent burglary protection and actually exceeds the requirements of the insurance offices manual of burglary insurance. The B5800 Floor Safe features three 1" diameter, drive resistant chromed steel locking bolts with a long throw. The 3/4" solid steel plate door is designed to fit the full body size which greatly reduces and helps prevent the possibility of a pry attack. In the event the hinges are removed from the door, a heavy duty dead bar is located behind the hinge to prevent removal of the door during a forced entry attempt.

The AMSEC B5800 body includes an oversized floor plate ensuring strong installation in concrete and with the 3/8" diameter steel hinge pins this safe is built to last for years and years.

On the door of the AMSEC B5800 lies your choice of lock and with a convenient, large 10-3/4" x 11-18" door opening, you'll have no problems getting items in and out. During a punch attack, an additional spring loaded relocking device is activated and both the lock and re-locker are protected by a large carburized hard plate. A steel plate covers the entire door surface while not in use allowing for a flat surface while the safe is hidden.

The interior of the AMSEC B5800 features an attractive carpeted floor to protect your valuables from scratches.

American Security stands behind and believes in the quality of the B5800 Super Brute Floor Safe by offering a 1 year parts and labor warranty and a lifetime replacement warranty if your safe is ever subject to a sledgehammer or pry attack and is forcibly entered.

While floor safes offer great security being easily hidden and surrounded by concrete, these same features also make them extremely susceptible to moisture problems. Keeping papers and valuables inside zip lock bags and Tupperware help when experiencing a fire or flood, humidity will still seep inside causing mildew and corrosion. We strongly recommend using a Lockdown Silica Gel Can to absorb this moisture and keep your valuables safe. It's a small, rechargeable unit that has a color indicator letting you know it's full and needs to be renewed. You should open your safe (especially after initial installation) frequently to assess moisture and check the silica gel. How often the units need recharging depends on your climate and how often you are in your safe. For any questions regarding humidity and moisture, give us a call at 800-827-7534.

Maintenance Tips
  • Clean the Exterior – Wipe the safe’s exterior with a soft cloth to remove dust and debris. Use a mild cleaner if necessary, but avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.

  • Lubricate the Lock Mechanism – Apply a small amount of safe-specific lubricant to the lock mechanism and keyway to ensure smooth operation. Avoid over-lubricating, as excess lubricant can attract dust and dirt.

  • Inspect the Door Seal – Check the door seal for any damage, wear, or debris. Clean the seal gently, and ensure it’s intact to preserve the fireproof and waterproof integrity of the safe.

  • Test Lock and Key – Regularly test the lock, combination, or key to make sure it opens smoothly. If you notice resistance, clean and lubricate the mechanism as needed.

  • Check for Loose Parts – Inspect the safe for any loose bolts, screws, or components. Tighten any parts that may have become loose during use to maintain the safe’s structural integrity.

  • Verify Secure Mounting – If the safe is floor-mounted, check that the anchor bolts are secure and that the safe is firmly in place. Tighten or replace any loose bolts to prevent instability.

  • Maintain the Interior – Periodically clean the interior of the safe with a dry cloth to keep it free of dust. Consider using a moisture absorber or desiccant to protect sensitive items inside.

  • Store in a Dry Area – Keep the safe in a dry, cool location to avoid moisture buildup. Regularly check for signs of moisture inside the safe and use desiccants if necessary to prevent corrosion.
