The PowerKing 42-Ton 7HP ABS Kinetic Log Splitter uses efficient force and speed to out split hydraulic splitters 6 to 1. The kinetic flywheel design eliminates the need for hoses, pumps, valves, cylinders, filters and couplers typically used on hydraulic splitters, making for a much more simpler design.
This log splitter is built with heavy steel frame components and includes a heavy-duty tread plate 3 ft. x 4 ft. work table that is perfect for commercial use. The unit has a patent pending Auto Braking System that will automatically stop and reset the system when it is over loaded. This will prolong the life and effectiveness of the unit and its components.
This unit includes a cover, worktable, removable hitch, an expansion splitter wedge, a case hardened ram, a 3-year Kohler engine warranty and 1 sec ram speed that allows you to quickly split logs and focus on the job at hand.

Q: What is the PowerKing 42-Ton 7 HP Kohler Horizontal Kinetic ABS Log Splitter - PK0342?
A: The PowerKing 42-Ton 7 HP Kohler Horizontal Kinetic ABS Log Splitter - PK0342 is a high-performance log splitter designed for heavy-duty use. It features a 7 HP Kohler engine and delivers 42 tons of splitting force, making it ideal for splitting large, tough logs with ease.
Q: What is the splitting capacity of the PowerKing PK0342?
A: This log splitter offers an impressive 42-ton splitting force, capable of handling logs up to 24 inches in length and 20 inches in diameter.
Q: How does the kinetic mechanism improve performance?
A: The kinetic energy mechanism offers faster cycle times and more efficient splitting by harnessing stored energy, resulting in quicker and smoother log splitting compared to traditional hydraulic systems.
Q: Is the PowerKing PK0342 log splitter easy to transport?
A: Yes, the log splitter is designed with large wheels and a towable frame, allowing for easy transport across various terrains, making it highly mobile for large property use.
Q: What engine powers the PowerKing 42-Ton Log Splitter?
A: The splitter is powered by a 7 HP Kohler engine, known for its reliability and consistent performance, ensuring long-lasting durability during heavy use.
Q: Is the PowerKing PK0342 suitable for residential or commercial use?
A: This log splitter is ideal for both residential and small commercial use, providing the power and capacity needed for splitting large amounts of firewood quickly and efficiently.
Clean After Each Use: After every use, remove dirt, wood chips, and debris from the log splitter. Use a soft brush or cloth to clean around the engine, hydraulic pump, and wedge. Avoid using water near electrical components or engine parts.
Check Hydraulic Fluid Levels: Regularly inspect the hydraulic fluid level, as low fluid can reduce the splitter’s efficiency. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on fluid type and top off the fluid if needed. Look for leaks around the hydraulic hoses and fittings, and address any issues promptly.
Change the Engine Oil: Change the engine oil regularly, typically after the first 5 hours of use and every 50 hours or annually. Check the oil level frequently and top it off when needed. Use the correct oil grade as specified in the manual for optimal engine performance.
Inspect the Wedge and Blade: Inspect the log splitter’s wedge and blade for wear, damage, or dullness. If the blade is dull or nicked, sharpen it, or replace it if necessary to ensure smooth, efficient splitting.
Check the Air Filter: Inspect the air filter regularly and clean or replace it as needed. A clean air filter is essential for maintaining proper airflow and engine performance. A clogged air filter can lead to poor engine performance and overheating.
Lubricate Moving Parts: Lubricate all moving components, such as the hydraulic cylinder, wedge, and pivot points, using the recommended lubricant. Proper lubrication helps prevent wear and ensures smooth operation.
Inspect Belts and Pulleys: Check the belts and pulleys for signs of wear, damage, or looseness. Tighten or replace any loose or damaged belts to maintain proper function and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
Check Tires and Wheels: Inspect the tires for proper inflation and condition. Ensure the wheels are in good shape for safe transportation. Replace any worn or damaged tires to prevent accidents or difficulty moving the splitter.
Inspect Bolts and Fasteners: Regularly check all bolts, nuts, and fasteners to ensure they are tight and secure. Loose components can lead to instability, reduced performance, or even equipment damage.
Store Properly: After use, store the log splitter in a dry, sheltered location, preferably with a cover to protect it from the elements. Keep the machine away from extreme temperatures or moisture that could cause damage.
Winterize the Log Splitter: Before storing the log splitter for winter, change the engine oil, clean the machine, and ensure the hydraulic fluid is at the proper level. Drain the fuel tank or add fuel stabilizer to prevent fuel deterioration. Ensure all moving parts are lubricated before storage.
