Maintenance Tips

• Regular Cleaning: Clean the fabric cover, frame, and floor regularly using a soft cloth or broom. Use mild soap and water for cleaning to remove dirt, dust, and debris. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the material.
• Inspect the Frame: Check the metal frame periodically for any signs of rust, wear, or loose connections. Tighten bolts and fasteners as needed. Treat any rust spots with a rust-resistant spray or paint to prevent further corrosion.
• Check the Cover: Inspect the fabric cover for tears, fading, or wear. Repair any small rips with a fabric patch kit. If the cover shows significant signs of damage, replace it to maintain protection from weather elements.
• Ensure Proper Tension: Check that the cover is securely fitted and properly tensioned. Loose or sagging fabric can cause stress on the shelter and make it more susceptible to wind or rain damage. Adjust the tension as necessary to keep it tight and secure.
• Ensure Ventilation: Make sure that ventilation openings or air vents are clear of obstructions to allow for proper airflow. Adequate ventilation reduces humidity and prevents moisture buildup inside the garage, helping to protect stored items.
• Remove Snow and Debris: In winter, clear snow and ice from the roof to avoid excessive weight that could cause structural damage. Clean the roof, gutters, and sides from debris like leaves or branches to maintain proper drainage.
• Lubricate Moving Parts: Lubricate doors, zippers, and other moving parts with a silicone-based spray to ensure smooth operation and prevent rusting or sticking.
• Securely Anchor the Shelter: Ensure that the shelter is properly anchored to the ground using the recommended ground anchors. This is especially important in windy conditions to prevent the shelter from shifting or becoming unstable.
• Check the Flooring: Inspect the flooring for damage, such as cracks or holes. Clean it regularly and repair or replace any damaged areas to ensure a stable and functional surface for storing items.
