Clean Concrete Surface: Regularly wipe down the concrete surface with a damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, and stains. For deeper cleaning, use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the finish.
Maintain the Copper Spillway: Clean the copper spillway with a soft cloth and copper-safe cleaner. To preserve its appearance, apply a protective sealant, or allow a natural patina to form for an aged, rustic look.
Fire Glass Care: Periodically remove the fire glass and clean it with warm, soapy water to keep it sparkling. Ensure the glass is completely dry before placing it back into the unit.
Inspect Burners and Jets: Check the fire burners and water jets regularly for clogs or debris. Use a soft brush to clean them, ensuring both water and flames flow smoothly.
Descale the Water System: Use filtered or distilled water to reduce mineral buildup in the water system. If scaling occurs, apply a descaling solution to clean the system and maintain optimal performance.
Electronic Ignition Maintenance: Ensure the electronic ignition system remains clean and dry. Check the connections periodically to ensure reliable ignition and replace any batteries as needed.
Gas Connection Check: Inspect the gas hoses and connections for any leaks or wear. If you smell gas or detect a leak, immediately turn off the gas supply and consult a professional.
Weather Protection: When not in use, cover the unit with a weather-resistant cover to protect it from the elements. This will help prevent damage from rain, snow, or UV exposure.
Seasonal Maintenance: Before long periods of inactivity, turn off the gas and drain the water system to prevent damage from freezing or prolonged exposure.
Use Non-Abrasive Cleaning Tools: Always use soft cloths and non-abrasive tools when cleaning to avoid scratching the concrete, copper, or glass surfaces.
