Clean the Concrete Surface: Wipe down the concrete regularly with a damp cloth to remove dirt, dust, and grime. For more stubborn stains, use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals to prevent damage to the surface.
Inspect and Maintain the Match Ignition Area: Ensure that the match ignition area is clean and free of debris. Periodically inspect the ignition mechanism to ensure that it functions properly. Always use a long match or lighter for safe ignition and avoid moisture around the area.
Check Gas Connections: Regularly inspect the gas hoses, regulator, and connections for wear, cracks, or leaks. If you smell gas, immediately turn off the gas supply and contact a professional for a thorough inspection and repair.
Fire Glass or Media Care: If your fire table uses fire glass or any other decorative media, remove and clean it periodically with warm, soapy water to clear away soot, dirt, and debris. Make sure the media is completely dry before replacing it.
Clean the Burner: Check the burner regularly for debris or obstructions that might affect flame performance. Use a soft brush to remove any buildup. Keeping the burner clean ensures that flames are steady and efficient.
Protect the Concrete: To preserve the concrete’s appearance, use a weather-resistant cover when the fire table is not in use. This helps protect it from rain, snow, and UV exposure, preventing any weathering or damage.
Inspect for Leaks: After periods of use, check the base of the fire table for any gas leaks or water accumulation. Make sure the unit is drained if needed and that all connections are secure.
Seasonal Maintenance: Before extended periods of inactivity, such as winter, turn off the gas supply, drain the system (if applicable), and cover the fire table to protect it from freezing temperatures, moisture, and other weather-related damage.
Check for Proper Drainage: Ensure that the fire table’s base has proper drainage, especially after heavy rainfall, to prevent water from pooling inside the unit. This will help protect both the fire and water components from damage.
Use Non-Abrasive Cleaning Tools: To prevent scratching or damaging the concrete, glass, and metal components, always use soft cloths, sponges, or non-abrasive tools for cleaning.
