The ACIQ-12ZPL-HP230B Condenser, combined with a compatible 12,000 BTU air handler, provides sufficient capacity for small to medium rooms. With a dual rotary compressor and variable inverter technology, this system achieves extremely high efficiency ratings. Please be aware that this model does not feature quick connect line set connectors and is not suitable for DIY installation. Additional installation materials, such as line sets, control wire, drain hose, whip and disconnect, are not included but can be purchased separately in the Accessories section of this page. A professional is required to add refrigerant and vacuum the lines as needed. While the automated cleaning function will keep your system clean, it is recommended to regularly clean the unit's filters manually.

12,000 BTU Ceiling Cassette ACiQ Mini-Split Air Handler

Mini Split systems are great, but what if you don't want the air handler on your wall? ACiQ offers the ACIQ-12CC-HH-MB ceiling cassette air handler for customers who want a more hidden appearance and more centralized air distribution. Ceiling Cassette air handlers provide the same high-efficiency heating and cooling of a regular wall-mounted unit, and come with an included hand-held remote control. Once the ceiling cassette is mounted in the ceiling, only the grille is visible for the most understated appearance.

Installation Considerations

Ceiling Cassettes are flush-mounted, which requires removal of enough ceiling material to create a cavity for the unit. These units will fit between 24 on-center joists, but are too large to fit between 16 on-center joists without modifying the structure of your framing. Additionally, Ceiling Cassettes have factory-installed, onboard pumps to lift the condensation produced by the unit during cooling. The pump can lift the condensation up to 14. From there, it will be necessary to construct a PVC drain system to route the condensation to a safe wastewater location. Refrigerant and wiring connections are the same as the wall mounted units.
