JET Chipping Hammers are ideal for light material removal or demolition, typically in the horizontal position. For example, a chipping hammer would help you break up concrete slabs or tiles, and remove grout between bricks. In metalworking, chipping hammers help remove welding slag or excess metal.
JET Chipping Hammers are available in both a D-handle design and a saw tooth or “open” handle design. The D-handle is designed for extra strength and better grip, reducing operator fatigue. The D-handle design is also great for accommodating a gloved hand. The JCT-3643 features an open handle model engineered to dissipate the impact energy more efficiently, increase user safety, and reduce maintenance costs.
Both models have the option of a round shank or hex shank. 0.68” round shank tools will rotate freely while retained in the chipping hammer. This allows the user to reposition the tip of the tool when needed. A round shank is ideal for accommodating uneven terrain such as a curved surface or rock. 0.58” hex shank tools do not rotate in the chipping hammer and will remain in the same position the user placed it in. This allows users to chip straight lines out on heavy surfaces like concrete. You can find the round shank model of this 3" stroke chipping hammer here.
Each model can accommodate standard oval collared chisels and retainers, making these heavy-duty chipping hammers a staple on any construction site. Top applications include cement chipping/breaking and demolition.
JET warrants every product they sell against manufacturers’ defects. All JET Air Tools carry a 2-Year Warranty from date of purchase. Warranties are subject to JET's terms and conditions.
