Voile designed this mountaineering tool to help you succeed in those alpine missions with a specific goal

Equally at home atop The Haute Route or on a long jaunt in The Catskills, these skis are light enough to go the distance and stiff enough to hold an edge on boilerplate. They won’t exactly shine in deep powder, but many an East Coast skier will likely press them into service at their local ski resort. It is lighter and narrower than their powder skis and is designed for longer days and less than stellar snow conditions. For our East Coast friends, this is an ideal backcountry ski. Its capped construction will allow for awesome edge control on that stuff you guys call snow but we all really know as ice, as well as being light enough to take long distances thanks to the Aspen wood core.
