Aardwolf Fork Extensions - Heavy Duty - AFE2500

The extra heavy duty fork extensions are built to be strong with double walls on the side and full plate on the underside. A fast and efficient way of handling lightweight loads of bulk. The fork blade extensions are invaluable when it comes to loading or unloading material out of the back of pick-up trucks. The fork extensions slide over fork blades and are locked onto fork blades by tightening the two bolts located on the back of each fork extension. They are further restrained by a heel pin, which fits behind the existing fork blades.

What our Experts Think
  • Inspect roller wheels before each use for cracks, flat spots, wear, or trapped stone debris.
  • Ensure rollers spin freely and are correctly aligned for smooth slab movement.
  • Clean rollers, jaws, and frame after every use to remove dust, slurry, and grit buildup.
  • Check gripping pads/contact surfaces for wear and replace if grip performance is reduced.
  • Lubricate all pivot points and moving joints regularly with light machine oil (avoid rollers).
  • Verify all pins, bolts, and locking mechanisms are secure and fully engaged before lifting.
  • Never exceed the rated 60 mm slab thickness capacity (approx.) and WLL limits.
  • Inspect lifting arms and structural frame for cracks, bending, or deformation.
  • Store in a dry, covered location to prevent corrosion and extend service life.
  • Remove from service immediately if roller failure, slippage, or structural damage is detected.

  • Inspect fork extensions, welds, and fork pockets before each use for cracks, bending, or wear.
  • Ensure retaining pins or locking systems are secure and fully functional before operation.
  • Check internal fork pockets for debris and keep them clean to ensure proper fit and stability.
  • Do not exceed rated load capacity and always account for load center extension when in use.
  • Verify extensions are fully seated on forklift forks before lifting or transporting loads.
  • Inspect wear on entry points and contact surfaces regularly and address deformation early.
  • Keep surfaces clean from stone dust, grease, and moisture to prevent slipping or corrosion.
  • Lubricate locking pins or adjustment components periodically if fitted.
  • Store in a dry, sheltered area to prevent rust and coating degradation.
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure structural integrity and safe load handling.
