Aardwolf Monument Clamp Lifter- (Automatic) - GPM1500A

Aardwolf Monument Clamp Lifter (Automatic) works with any lifting device. The Aardwolf Monument lifter is ideal for lifting and setting concrete, stone and marble building fascia. It is useful for moving and setting heavy or awkward retaining wall blocks and slabs. The slim profile allows it to set material in tight places. The clamping jaw and the centre of gravity are easily and quickly adjustable by means of the locking pins. The jaws of the lifter are lined with vulcanized rubber to ensure a safe and non-marking grip. Clamps are gravity controlled, which open when rested and close when lifted.

What our Experts Think
  • Heavy-duty automatic monument lifting solution, the Aardwolf GPM1500A is designed for safe lifting, positioning, and installation of granite, marble, concrete, and natural stone monuments and large structural blocks.
  • Automatic gravity-controlled clamping system grips during lifting and releases when set down, reducing manual handling and improving job-site safety and efficiency.
  • High working load capacity of 1500 kg (3307 lb) makes it suitable for large, heavy monument and retaining wall installations.
  • Wide grip range of 20โ€“300 mm (0.8"โ€“11.8") allows handling of a broad variety of stone thicknesses and monument profiles.
  • Slim-profile jaw design enables access and placement in tight or confined installation spaces, improving precision during setting work.
  • Rubber-lined jaws for surface protection reduce risk of marking, chipping, or damaging finished stone surfaces during lifting operations.
  • Adjustable center-of-gravity and jaw position allows operators to fine-tune balance for safer, more controlled lifts across different load shapes.

Maintenance Tips
  • Inspect automatic gripping system before each use for smooth engagement, wear, or misalignment.
  • Check clamp jaws, rubber pads, and contact surfaces for wear, cracking, or loss of grip and replace when needed.
  • Clean jaws, frame, and moving components after use to remove stone dust, slurry, and debris.
  • Ensure pivot points, linkages, and automatic locking mechanisms operate freely without obstruction.
  • Lubricate all moving joints, pins, and mechanical linkages regularly with light machine oil (avoid contact with pads).
  • Verify all bolts, pins, and safety components are tight and properly secured before lifting.
  • Never exceed the rated 1500 kg (approx.) working load limit and ensure proper monument positioning.
  • Inspect lifting eye and structural frame for cracks, deformation, or excessive wear.
  • Store in a dry, covered area to prevent corrosion and maintain reliable automatic operation.
  • Remove from service immediately if locking failure, jaw slippage, or structural damage is detected.
