Aardwolf Scissor Lifter  - ASL300

Aardwolf is a leader in manufacturing stone handling equipment including its Scissor Clamp Lifters. The ASL 300 Scissor Lifting Clamp is the second largest of the scissor clamps offered. The Scissor Lifter has a large grip range for companies moving large monuments, tombstones, and of course other types of stone. The clamps are equipped with rubber contact pads, which ensure the material is transported safely and efficiently. By means of a gravity controlled locking latch, the clamps automatically grip and release the load.

Suitable for lifting marble and granite slabs, tomb stones, concrete barriers, curbs (kerbs) and median walls.

Features
  • Auto locks and unlocks.
  • Vulcanized rubber pads.
  • Protective rubber lined bar prevents chipping of material
What our Experts Think
  • Built for safe vertical lifting of stone slabs, concrete elements, and heavy masonry materials in fabrication and construction environments.
  • 1,500 kg (3,307 lb) working load limit delivers strong performance for medium-to-heavy lifting tasks.
  • 150–300 mm grip range makes it ideal for handling standard granite, marble, and concrete slab thicknesses.
  • Automatic gravity-controlled locking system grips and releases materials without manual adjustment, improving efficiency.
  • High-friction, replaceable rubber pads ensure a secure hold while protecting polished and finished stone surfaces.
  • Integrated protective rubber-lined bar and side guidance design help reduce chipping and edge damage during lifts.
  • Heavy-duty steel construction with high-visibility finish supports demanding daily industrial use.
  • Compatible with cranes and lifting systems commonly used in stone yards, fabrication shops, and construction sites.
  • Designed to improve job-site safety, lifting speed, and handling precision for repetitive slab movement tasks.
Q&A

Q: What is the Aardwolf Scissor Lifter ASL300?
A: The Aardwolf ASL300 is a heavy-duty scissor clamp lifter designed for safe vertical lifting and handling of stone, concrete, and similar dense materials in fabrication, construction, and landscaping applications.

Q: What materials can the ASL300 lift?
A: It is suitable for marble, granite slabs, tombstones, concrete barriers, kerbs, and retaining wall components.

Q: What is the lifting capacity?
A: The ASL300 has a working load limit of up to 1,500 kg (3,307 lb), making it suitable for heavy-duty lifting tasks.

Q: What is the grip range?
A: It supports material thicknesses from 150 mm to 300 mm (6"–12").

Q: How does it work?
A: It uses a gravity-controlled auto-locking mechanism that automatically grips during lifting and releases when the load is set down, enabling fast, hands-free operation.

Q: Does it protect stone surfaces?
A: Yes. It features replaceable high-friction rubber pads and a protective lined bar to prevent chipping and surface damage during handling.

Q: What are the key benefits of the ASL300?
A: It improves safety, reduces manual handling effort, and ensures stable, damage-free lifting of heavy stone materials with consistent job-site efficiency.

Maintenance Tips
  • Inspect scissor arms, welds, pins, and base frame before each use for cracks, wear, or deformation.
  • Check hydraulic system (if equipped) for oil leaks, hose damage, or pressure loss.
  • Keep pivot points, rollers, and moving joints clean and well-lubricated for smooth lifting action.
  • Ensure all safety locks, stops, and limit mechanisms function correctly before operation.
  • Do not exceed the rated load capacity and always distribute loads evenly on the platform.
  • Verify wheels/casters (if fitted) are secure, free-moving, and not worn or damaged.
  • Keep the lifting platform clean from stone dust, slurry, and debris to prevent slipping hazards.
  • Regularly inspect bolts, fasteners, and structural connections and tighten when necessary.
  • Store in a dry environment to reduce corrosion, especially on hydraulic components and steel joints.
  • Schedule routine maintenance checks to ensure hydraulic integrity and overall lifting stability.
