Aardwolf Site Saw M1200 - SSM1200

It features a 3Hp Motor guided by twelve bearings rolling on two extruded aluminum bars, which ensure the accurate cutting of all types of natural and artificial stone.
One of the distinguishing features of the Aardwolf Site Saw SSM1200 is its cast aluminum machined worktable, which is firmly bolted to the water tank. This combination of solid cast table being bolted firmly to the water tank makes the saw very rigid, preventing the frame from twisting when placed on uneven surfaces, ensuring accurate cutting of the work piece.

Features
  • A roller conveyor, which makes loading easy and supports the work piece
  • Two load-support brackets containing adjustable stops which allow quick, accurate repeat cuts
  • Incorporated in the M1200 are wheels and rollers for effortless single-handed loading and transportation of the saw
  • Tilting bridge from 90° to 45° to carry out bevel cutting
  • Water tank with recycling pump
  • Manual depth adjustment of cutting head by hand wheel
  • Stainless steel measuring tape fixed to table and conveyor
What our Experts Think
  • Advanced automatic slab lifting system, the Aardwolf AL60AR combines automatic locking technology with integrated rollers for safer, faster handling of granite, marble, quartz, porcelain, and engineered stone slabs.
  • Fully automatic lock-and-release mechanism grips the slab securely during lifting and automatically disengages when the load is lowered, reducing manual intervention and improving workplace safety.
  • Integrated top rollers help protect slab edges while allowing smooth positioning and precise centering during lifting, loading, and installation operations.
  • High working load limit of up to 1,200 kg (2,646 lbs) makes it suitable for demanding fabrication shops, stone processors, and installation contractors handling heavy materials daily.
  • Grip range of 15–60 mm (5/8"–2⅜") accommodates many of the most common slab thicknesses used in countertops, wall cladding, flooring, and architectural stone projects.
  • Compact front-clamping design allows operators to lift slabs from tightly packed storage racks and position materials closer to walls or workstations, maximizing workflow efficiency.
  • Rubber-lined gripping surfaces help minimize chipping, scratching, and surface damage, protecting valuable finished materials during transport and installation.
  • Built for professional productivity, reducing handling time while improving load stability and operator confidence throughout the lifting process.

Q&A

A: The AL60AR is designed for lifting, transporting, and positioning granite, marble, quartz, and engineered stone slabs safely in fabrication shops, warehouses, and construction sites.

Q: How does the AL60AR automatic locking system work?
A: It features a gravity-controlled auto-lock and auto-unlock mechanism that automatically grips slabs when lifted and releases them when set down, reducing manual handling and improving efficiency.

Q: What is the grip range of the AL60AR?
A: The clamp handles slab thicknesses from 15–60 mm (0.6"–2.4"), making it suitable for a wide range of stone slabs.

Q: What is the load capacity of the AL60AR?
A: The AL60AR has a working load limit of 1200 kg (2646 lbs) for heavy-duty slab handling applications.

Q: What is the purpose of the integrated rollers?
A: The rollers protect slab edges from damage and allow easy manual centering of the clamp during engagement and lifting.

Q: What safety features does the AL60AR offer?
A: It requires only minimal slab movement to engage, features rubber-lined jaws to prevent chipping and scratching, and provides a force-multiplying grip of approximately 2.5:1 for secure lifting.

Q: What are the key benefits of the AL60AR?
A: Its compact design allows lifting slabs from tightly packed racks and containers, while the automatic operation and edge-protection rollers improve productivity, safety, and material protection.

Maintenance Tips
  • Inspect the automatic locking mechanism before each use to ensure smooth engagement and secure gripping.
  • Check rollers for wear, cracks, flat spots, or debris buildup and ensure they rotate freely.
  • Clean rollers, jaws, and frame after use to remove stone dust, slurry, and residue.
  • Inspect gripping pads and contact surfaces for wear or damage; replace when necessary.
  • Lubricate pivot points, linkages, and moving components regularly with light machine oil (avoid rollers and gripping pads).
  • Verify all bolts, pins, and safety locks are tight and fully secured before lifting.
  • Never exceed the rated load capacity and use only within the specified 60 mm slab thickness range.
  • Inspect lifting eye, frame, and structural components for cracks, deformation, or excessive wear.
  • Store in a dry, covered area to prevent corrosion and maintain reliable automatic operation.
  • Remove from service immediately if locking failure, roller malfunction, slippage, or structural damage is detected.
