Features

All star performer
Serene Series 2 is one of Actron Air’s most energy efficient air conditioners yet, with our 2.65kW model reaching the highly sought after 7 star energy rating*.
*7 star energy rating applies to WRC-026DS / WRE-026DS combination. Rated under new climate zone SEER rating.

More cooling in extreme heat
With a market-leading operating range of up to 60°c, Serene is guaranteed to keep working in hotter temperatures. Not only that, Serene is also able to maintain far better capacity in extreme heat than comparable systems, which provides you with more cooling comfort right when you need it most.

R32 for efficient energy performance
Serene uses R32 refrigerant – a gas that offers a low Global Warming Potential – reducing its impact on our environment.

AC vs DC for rockin’ efficiency and performance
Serene uses more energy efficient Direct Current (DC) inverter technology in its inverter compressor, indoor fan and outdoor fan. While some competitors use less efficient AC technology, or combinations of both, we choose DC technology as it can make a huge difference to your electricity bill. With an impressive 25 frequency stages, our DC inverter compressor is up to 35% more efficient than AC technology, while Serene’s DC outdoor fan with five speed settings is up to 40% more efficient. The result is improved efficiencies overall, as well as optimal cooling performance at high and low ambient temperatures, and quieter operation on part load.

What our Experts Think
  • Compact high-efficiency cooling: 2.65kW capacity is ideal for small bedrooms, studies, and compact living spaces (approx. 10–20 m²)
  • Serene Series 2 inverter technology: Adjusts compressor speed dynamically to maintain stable temperatures while reducing energy use
  • Energy-smart design: Built for low running costs with features like Eco Mode (up to ~65% energy reduction in efficient operation) and intelligent load control
  • Ultra-quiet indoor comfort: Designed for bedroom use with very low noise operation and smooth airflow regulation
  • Smart airflow distribution: 3D swing function helps ensure even cooling and heating across the room
  • All-season reverse cycle: Provides cooling in summer and heating in winter with wide operating temperature range
  • Comfort automation features: Includes sleep mode, boost mode, and proximity sensing to reduce energy waste when rooms are unoccupied
  • Health-focused air care: Integrated filtration and optional ioniser support cleaner indoor air and reduced allergens
  • R32 refrigerant efficiency: Uses modern low-impact refrigerant for improved environmental performance and efficiency

Q&A

Q: What is the ActronAir WRE-026DS air conditioner?
A: The ActronAir WRE-026DS is a 2.5kW wall-mounted split system indoor unit from the Serene Series 2, designed for efficient cooling and heating when paired with a compatible outdoor unit.

Q: What size room is it suitable for?
A: With a 2.5kW capacity, it is best suited for small rooms such as bedrooms, studies, or compact living spaces, depending on insulation and climate conditions.

Q: Does it provide both cooling and heating?
A: Yes, it is a reverse-cycle system, providing cooling in summer and heating in winter when connected to the matching outdoor unit.

Q: Is it energy efficient?
A: Yes, the Serene Series 2 uses inverter technology and eco-focused operating modes, helping reduce energy use by adjusting output based on demand.

Q: Does it help reduce running costs?
A: Yes, it includes Eco and smart control modes that limit power usage while maintaining comfort, helping lower electricity consumption in everyday use.

Q: How does it distribute air?
A: It features multi-directional airflow with automatic swing functions, helping maintain even temperature across the room.

Q: Is this a complete air conditioning system?
A: No, this is an indoor unit only, meaning it must be installed with a compatible ActronAir outdoor condenser unit.

Maintenance Tips
  • Clean filters every 2–4 weeks: Essential for airflow, efficiency, and low running cost in small rooms (~2.5kW capacity).
  • Wipe indoor unit regularly: Prevent dust buildup on louvers and front panel to maintain smooth airflow.
  • Check condensate drain: Keep clear to avoid leaks, dripping, or ceiling/wall damage.
  • Ensure airflow is not blocked: Keep furniture/curtains away from intake and outlet for even cooling.
  • Run dry/fan mode occasionally: Helps reduce internal moisture and prevents odors or mold growth.
  • Listen for airflow changes: Reduced airflow usually indicates dirty filters or partial blockage.
  • Avoid constant extreme settings: Running max cooling continuously increases energy use and wear on the inverter system.
  • Annual professional service: Clean coils, check refrigerant (R32), inspect electricals, and ensure safe operation.
