  • Clean panels & gaskets every 3–6 months: Use a soft cloth with mild soap and warm water; dry thoroughly. Avoid solvents, acetone, harsh chemicals, or abrasives.

  • Inspect hinges & hardware every 6 months: Remove old grease, apply light wheel-bearing type grease to hinge cams and pivot pins (do not over-grease), and tighten any loose fasteners.

  • Check alignment & sealing quarterly: Ensure both panels swing freely, close evenly, and gaskets maintain full contact to preserve proper sealing and energy efficiency.

  • Keep the swing path clear: Remove debris, carts, or equipment to prevent impact damage or misalignment.

  • Use non-abrasive cleaning tools: Protect aluminum finishes and gasket edges from scratches or damage.
