Maintenance Tips
  • Annual Professional Inspection: Have a certified technician inspect the burner, gas connections, and vent system each year to ensure safe and efficient operation.

  • Clean Burner & Logs: Gently brush or vacuum dust and debris from logs and burner ports—never use water or harsh chemicals.

  • Check Flame Quality: Ensure a steady, yellow flame with proper flame height; blue or uneven flames may indicate a need for service.

  • Inspect Glass & Frame: Clean the viewing glass with a non-abrasive glass cleaner and soft cloth; avoid scraping to prevent damage.

  • Maintain Venting System: Keep the vent and chimney free of obstructions to ensure proper combustion and heat efficiency.

  • Test Ignition & Safety Controls: Verify pilot, ignition, and safety shutoff features periodically for reliable operation.

  • Off-Season Care: Cover or close the fireplace when not in use to protect from dust, debris, and moisture.
