Maintenance Tips
- Clean the frame and drivetrain after dirt, gravel, or wet rides to prevent corrosion and drivetrain wear.
- Inspect the chromoly steel frame regularly for paint chips, rust spots, dents, or impact damage; touch up exposed steel quickly.
- Apply internal frame rust protection annually, especially in humid, coastal, or wet climates.
- Grease all threaded parts (bottom bracket, headset, thru-axles, rack/bottle mounts) to prevent seizing over time.
- Check disc brake mounts, rotors, and bolts frequently for alignment and tightness—critical for loaded touring.
- Inspect rack, cargo, and frame bag mounting points often, as touring setups can increase stress on hardware.
- Maintain drivetrain (chain, cassette, chainrings) with regular cleaning and lubrication for smooth shifting and long life.
- Ensure tire clearance remains clear of mud and debris, especially on rough or off-road routes.
- Avoid high-pressure washing, which can force water into bearings and frame tubes.
- Store indoors in a dry place to preserve frame integrity and finish.
