Maintenance Tips
- Clean frame and fork after trail, mud, or wet rides to prevent corrosion and preserve the steel finish.
- Inspect chromoly steel frame regularly for paint chips, rust spots, dents, or stress marks; touch up exposed steel promptly.
- Apply internal frame rust inhibitor annually, especially in wet, snowy, or coastal environments.
- Grease all threaded interfaces (bottom bracket, headset, thru-axles, bottle/rack mounts) to prevent seizing over time.
- Check suspension-corrected fork, dropouts, and disc brake mounts frequently for tightness and alignment after rough trail use.
- Maintain drivetrain (chain, cassette, chainrings) with frequent cleaning and lubrication, especially after muddy rides.
- Ensure tire clearance stays free of packed mud or debris, especially when switching between 27.5” and 29” setups.
- Inspect wheel, hub, and axle components regularly due to aggressive trail impacts and mixed terrain use.
- Avoid pressure washing to protect bearings, seals, and frame joints from water intrusion.
- Store indoors in a dry place to maximize frame durability and finish longevity.
