Maintenance Tips
  • Clean frame and drivetrain regularly after city, wet-road, or light gravel rides to prevent corrosion and buildup.
  • Inspect chromoly steel frame for paint chips, rust spots, or scratches; touch up exposed steel promptly.
  • Apply internal frame rust inhibitor annually, especially in humid or rainy climates.
  • Keep drivetrain (chain, cassette, chainring) clean and lubricated for smooth shifting and long component life.
  • Check brakes (pads, rotors, calipers) frequently for safe, consistent stopping in daily commuting conditions.
  • Grease threaded interfaces (bottom bracket, headset, rack/fender mounts) to prevent seizing over time.
  • Tighten and inspect commuter accessories like racks, fenders, and kickstand mounts regularly.
  • Maintain correct tire pressure for pavement efficiency and occasional gravel stability.
  • Avoid pressure washing to protect bearings and prevent water intrusion into frame joints.
  • Store indoors in a dry place to preserve finish and extend frame lifespan.
