Maintenance Tips
  • Brush felt regularly with a pool table brush to remove chalk, dust, and debris and maintain smooth ball roll.
  • Cover when not in use to protect both the slate cloth and dining top from dust, spills, and sunlight.
  • Clean dining top gently using a soft damp cloth; use placemats/coasters to prevent scratches and heat marks.
  • Check table level periodically—slate tables can shift slightly over time, affecting play accuracy.
  • Avoid excess humidity or dryness to protect wood finish, felt tension, and slate stability.
  • Tighten hardware annually (rails, legs, bolts) to maintain structural stability and consistent bounce.
  • Clean balls and cues regularly to reduce chalk buildup and improve shot control.
  • Do not drag or move assembled table—it can damage slate alignment and frame integrity.
