Trusted Clean 12" Carpet Scrubbing Powerhead Attachment for Extractors - TPL-PH12-3PG

Why use a standard drag wand when you can get a combination of powerful brush agitation and speed in a super lightweight attachment with wheels - all at a bargain price! So lightweight and maneuverable, this 12" Trusted Clean PH12 power head will triple your productivity. No more back pain or fatigue from slow, tedious cleaning with a wand. This PH12 scrubbing head attaches to any box style or self-contained carpet extractor to remove deeply embedded soil and grit at record speeds. It can be used with heated and non-heated carpet cleaning machines, as long as they have a max pressure rating of 500 PSI or less.

The PH12 will effectively spray down your solution, then a high-speed cylindrical brush comes and scrubs the carpeting, and a vacuum shoe follows up to remove as much solution and dirt from the carpet as possible. The scrub brush not only gets down to the base of the carpet fibers for more effective cleaning, but it also leaves a nice freshly vacuumed look to the carpeting.

We do have a full line of carpet extractor power brush attachments available, for other options, if this is not exactly what you're looking for.

This unit comes hard wired with a typical 3-prong 110 volt electrical plug on the end of it. The previous model (TPL-PH12) was wired with an attachment that you could use to plug it directly into an extractor, or add a pig tail onto it and plug it into an outlet. If you have one of these previous models and need parts, please let us know.

Q&A

Q: What is the Trusted Clean 12" Carpet Scrubbing Powerhead Attachment (TPL-PH12-3PG)?
A: It’s a motorized carpet scrubbing attachment designed for use with commercial carpet extractors to add deep mechanical agitation for more effective cleaning.

Q: What does it do?
A: It sprays cleaning solution, uses a high-speed cylindrical brush to scrub carpet fibers, and then vacuums up soil and moisture in a single pass for deeper extraction results.

Q: What makes it different from a standard wand?
A: Unlike a drag wand, it uses a powered 2500 RPM brush that lifts embedded dirt from carpet fibers, improving cleaning speed and results while reducing operator fatigue.

Q: What machines is it compatible with?
A: It works with Trusted Clean box extractors and most commercial carpet extractors operating up to 500 PSI, whether heated or non-heated.

Q: What is included with the attachment?
A: A 12-inch scrubbing head with spray jet, brush system, vacuum shoe, and integrated solution/vacuum connections for extractor hookup.

Q: What surfaces is it best for?
A: Ideal for commercial carpets in offices, hotels, schools, and high-traffic environments where deep soil removal is needed.

Q: Why choose this powerhead over manual cleaning methods?
A: It significantly increases productivity, improves soil removal at the carpet base, and reduces physical strain compared to traditional wand-only extraction.

Maintenance Tips
  • Rinse after every use – Flush solution lines, spray jet, and vacuum shoe to prevent chemical buildup and clogging.
  • Clean brush cylinder daily – Remove hair, fibers, and debris to maintain consistent 2500 RPM scrubbing power.
  • Inspect spray jet regularly – Ensure even solution distribution for uniform carpet cleaning performance.
  • Check wheels & glide system – Keep rear wheels clean for smooth movement and reduced operator fatigue.
  • Clear vacuum shoe opening – Prevent blockage to maintain strong recovery and faster carpet drying.
  • Inspect hose connections – Tighten 1.5" vacuum and 1/4" solution fittings to avoid leaks and pressure loss.
  • Wipe housing after use – Remove moisture and detergent residue to protect ABS body and internal components.
  • Avoid dry running – Always ensure solution flow is active before engaging brush to prevent wear.
  • Store upright in dry area – Protect motor, wiring, and bristles from deformation or moisture damage.
