The powerful Kohler 4.5HP Command Pro engine spins the two 25lb flywheels to generate the kinetic force. In a matter of seconds, the flywheels are at max speed and ready to unleash.
Once you pull the engagement handle, all of that force is transferred to the ram, and it shoots out at a high rate of speed into the log slamming it into the wedge and splitting the log into 2 pieces. The ram springs back and flywheels are brought up to speed producing a cycle time of only 3 seconds. Faster than any hydraulic splitter around.
The raised platform and table of the unit make it easier on your back. The foldable front stand and tow bar support any 2 inch ball for easy towing around the yard. There are no pumps, hydraulic fluid filters, hydraulic fluids to mess around with. The 3 second cycle time and 22-tons of force gets the job done and done quick.

Q: What is the PowerKing 22-Ton 4.5 HP Kohler Horizontal Kinetic ABS Log Splitter - PK0322K?
A: The PowerKing 22-Ton 4.5 HP Kohler Horizontal Kinetic ABS Log Splitter - PK0322K is a powerful and efficient log splitter designed for residential and light commercial use. It features a 4.5 HP Kohler engine and a 22-ton splitting force for tackling large logs.
Q: What is the splitting capacity of the PowerKing PK0322K?
A: The splitter offers a 22-ton splitting force, allowing it to easily handle logs up to 24 inches in length and 16 inches in diameter.
Q: How does the kinetic mechanism benefit performance?
A: The kinetic mechanism provides faster cycle times and more efficient splitting, making the process smoother and reducing overall effort compared to traditional hydraulic models.
Q: Is the PowerKing log splitter easy to transport?
A: Yes, the splitter is equipped with large wheels and a handle for easy maneuverability, allowing for simple transport across various terrains.
Q: What type of engine does the PowerKing PK0322K use?
A: This log splitter is powered by a reliable 4.5 HP Kohler engine, known for its durability and consistent performance.
Q: Is the PowerKing log splitter suitable for residential use?
A: Yes, the 22-ton capacity is ideal for residential and small-scale commercial use, offering a high-performance tool for splitting firewood efficiently and effectively.
Clean After Each Use: After each use, clean the log splitter thoroughly to remove dirt, wood chips, and debris. Use a soft brush and wipe down the machine. Avoid using water directly on the engine and electrical components.
Check Hydraulic Fluid: Regularly check the hydraulic fluid levels, as low levels can affect the splitter’s performance. Refer to the owner’s manual for recommended fluid type and fill or replace fluid as needed. Always check for leaks and address any issues promptly.
Inspect the Wedge and Blade: Inspect the log splitter’s wedge and blade for damage, wear, or dullness. Sharpen or replace them as needed to ensure efficient splitting. Damaged or dull blades can slow down performance.
Change the Oil: Change the engine oil according to the manufacturer's recommendations (typically after the first 5 hours of use and then every 50 hours or annually). This helps the engine run smoothly and prevents overheating.
Check the Air Filter: Regularly inspect the air filter for dirt and debris. Clean or replace the filter as needed to maintain good airflow and engine efficiency. A clogged air filter can cause the engine to overheat or perform poorly.
Inspect the Belts and Pulleys: Check the belts and pulleys for signs of wear or damage. Tighten any loose belts and replace worn or frayed ones to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Lubricate Moving Parts: Lubricate all moving parts, including the hydraulic pump, wedge, and pivot points. Use the manufacturer-recommended lubricant to reduce friction and wear.
Tighten Bolts and Nuts: Regularly inspect the log splitter for any loose bolts, nuts, or screws, and tighten them as needed. Loose fasteners can cause parts to shift or malfunction.
Check the Tires and Wheels: Inspect the tires for proper inflation and wear. If the tires are underinflated or damaged, replace them to ensure safe transportation of the splitter.
Store Properly: Store the log splitter in a dry, sheltered area when not in use, preferably with a cover to protect it from the elements. For long-term storage, drain the fuel tank, check the oil, and ensure all parts are clean and in good condition.
Winterize the Log Splitter: Before storing for the winter, change the oil, clean the machine, and top off the hydraulic fluid. Adding a fuel stabilizer to the tank can also help keep the fuel fresh during the off-season.
