Rubi Tools ERGO TILE TRANS With Crossbars - 28932

ERGO TILE TRANS has been designed for the transport and handling of large formats of thin thicknesses (SLIM) or any large format with a maximum weight of 265 lbs. These are two retractable aluminum profiles that will allow you to handle pieces up to 10.5 ft long. The distance between the profiles can be adapted according to the user's needs, with 27.5 inches being the recommended measurement for greater stability. Each of these profiles has 3 vacuum suction cups with a diameter of 6" and a high load capacity. This will provide us with greater safety, reliability, and stability during transport. The ERGO TILE TRANS incorporates two Soft-grip controls for comfortable and safe handling. These handles can rotate to reveal the two rubber stops where we will rest the tool to proceed with the installation operation. The FAST FIX system guarantees very fast and comfortable assembly and adjustment.

  • Incorporates two Soft-grip controls for comfortable and safe handling
  • Handles can rotate to reveal the two rubber stops where to rest the tool to proceed with the installation operation
  • Includes two retractable and adjustable guides from 5.25-10.5 ft (1.6-3.2 m), 6 vacuum suction cups and two crossbars
  • Maximum weight capacity: 265 lb (120 kg)
What our Experts Think
  • Purpose-built for safe slab transport
The ERGO TILE TRANS with Crossbars (Ref. 28932) is designed specifically for handling and transporting large-format, thin porcelain slabs (SLIM systems) with maximum control and safety.
  • High-capacity handling with strong suction grip
Equipped with multiple Ø160 mm vacuum suction cups, it delivers a secure grip on large, fragile tiles—reducing risk of flex, cracks, or edge damage during movement.
  • Extended reach for large-format tiles
Supports pieces up to 3.2 m (126”) in length, making it ideal for modern oversized tile installations and slab systems.
  • Crossbars = extra rigidity under load
The included crossbars significantly improve stability and structural stiffness, allowing safer handling of heavier or longer panels compared to standard transport systems.
  • Adjustable, installer-friendly design
Dual retractable aluminum profiles can be positioned based on slab size, giving installers flexibility and better weight distribution during lifting and placement.
  • Job-site safety focused
Soft-grip handles and balanced load distribution help reduce installer fatigue and accidental tile stress, especially during vertical or long-distance carrying.
  • Expert insight
This is not a cutting tool—it’s a precision slab transport system, best paired with slab tables and cutters for a full professional large-format workflow.

Q&A

Q1: What is the Rubi ERGO TILE TRANS 28932 used for?
A: It is a professional slab transport and handling system designed for large-format porcelain, ceramic, and thin (SLIM) tiles.

Q2: What is the maximum load capacity?
A: Up to 120 kg (265 lbs) when used with crossbars for reinforced stability.

Q3: What is the maximum tile length it can handle?
A: It supports pieces up to 320 cm (approx. 10.5 ft) in length.

Q4: How does it grip the tile safely?
A: It uses 6 large vacuum suction cups (Ø160 mm) positioned along adjustable rails for strong, balanced grip.

Q5: What is the purpose of the crossbars?
A: The crossbars increase rigidity and stability, allowing safer handling of heavier and larger slabs during transport.

Q6: Can the system be adjusted for different tile sizes?
A: Yes, the distance between the two aluminum rails is adjustable, allowing better control and stability depending on slab size.

Q7: Is it suitable for thin porcelain slabs?
A: Yes, it is specifically designed for thin large-format SLIM porcelain slabs, which require careful handling.

Q8: Does it improve safety during installation?
A: Yes, the suction system and reinforced handles provide secure lifting, reduced breakage risk, and better control on job sites.

Maintenance Tips
  • Clean suction cups after every use: Remove dust, slurry, and moisture to maintain maximum grip and prevent vacuum loss.
  • Inspect vacuum seals regularly: Check 160 mm suction cups for wear or cracks—replace if grip weakens.
  • Keep aluminum rails clean & dry: Wipe retractable guides after cutting/transport to avoid debris buildup and smooth sliding.
  • Check crossbars tightness: Ensure crossbars are securely locked to maintain rigidity and safe load handling (up to 120 kg).
  • Avoid impact or bending: Do not drop or twist guides—alignment affects slab stability during transport.
  • Store fully dry & folded: Prevent oxidation and protect internal sliding mechanisms from dust.
  • Test suction pressure before use: Always verify vacuum hold indicators before lifting slabs.
  • Periodic fastener check: Tighten handles and locking systems to ensure safe ergonomic handling.
