GE SharkBite 12-in 3/4-in Push-to-Connect Inlet x 3/4-in FIP Outlet Corrugated Stainless Steel Water Heater Connector - SS3088FLEX12LF

The 3/4-in SharkBite x 3/4-in FIP x 12-in SharkBite corrugated stainless steel water heater connector allows you to easily connect your hot and cold water supply lines to your water heater. After applying pipe thread tape to the FIP nipples on your water heater, thread the FIP end of the water heater connector onto the tank and tighten with channel locks. Then simply push the SharkBite push-fit end onto copper, PEX, or CPVC pipes and your water heater is connected. The corrugated stainless steel lines are available in different lengths from 12-in to 24-in and are also available in braided stainless steel. SharkBite water heater connectors will decrease the amount of time and effort needed to install a water heater in your home and are the fastest way to complete your project.

Maintenance Tips
  • Check for Leaks Regularly: Inspect both push-to-connect and FIP ends for moisture or drips to ensure a secure seal.
  • Avoid Sharp Bends: Keep the corrugated stainless steel tube in a gentle curve to maintain flow and prevent stress damage.
  • Secure Proper Fitment: Verify fittings are fully seated and tightened after installation and during seasonal temperature changes.
  • Monitor Corrosion Zones: Even stainless steel should be checked in humid or hard-water areas for early wear signs.
  • Flush Water Heater: Routine flushing reduces sediment buildup that can strain the connector over time.
  • Maintain Pressure & Temperature Limits: Stay within manufacturer ratings to prevent connector fatigue or failure.
  • Replace if Worn: Look for kinks, stiffness, or visible damage and replace immediately if detected.
