GE SharkBite Max 3/4 in. Push-to-Connect x 3/4 in. FIP x 15 in. Braided Stainless Steel Water Heater Connector - UR3088FX15

SharkBite Max flexible water heater connectors are the fastest and easiest way to connect your water heater to existing pipes in your home. A newly designed stainless steel collet retainer delivers additional strength and durability and provides a 200 psi pressure rating. SharkBite Max connectors do not require a PEX tube liner, and a re-engineered body allows you to insert the pipe using less force and greater ease. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools required. After inserting to pipe, stainless steel teeth bite down and grip the pipe tightly while a specially formulated O-ring compresses around the pipe to create a watertight seal. The flexible stainless steel braided hose reduces the need for extra joints or fittings, allowing for faster installs. Available in additional lengths (12 in. to 24 in.) and with integrated ball valve shut off.

What our Experts Think
  • Professional-grade fast install design: Push-to-connect inlet eliminates soldering and threading headaches, making water heater replacement faster and cleaner for pros and DIY installers alike.
  • Flexible braided stainless steel build: 15-inch braided hose helps absorb vibration and correct minor pipe misalignment, reducing stress on the water heater connections over time.
  • Built for tight utility spaces: Compact length with flexible construction makes it easier to work behind tanks, in closets, or crowded mechanical rooms.
  • Universal plumbing compatibility: Works with copper, PEX, CPVC, and PE-RT systems—ideal for both upgrades and retrofit water heater installs.
  • High-strength, code-compliant materials: Lead-free brass push fitting and stainless steel braid deliver durability, corrosion resistance, and long service life.
  • Pressure & temperature rated for residential use: Engineered for typical water heater conditions, including high-pressure hot water cycling in everyday systems.
  • Leak-resistant connection confidence: Precision push-to-connect sealing reduces installation errors when properly seated, helping minimize risk of leaks.
  • Installer-preferred time saver: Widely used for reducing service time on water heater swaps, especially in emergency replacements or tight schedules.

Maintenance Tips
  • Check for Leaks Regularly: Inspect both push-to-connect and FIP ends for drips, moisture, or mineral buildup.
  • Keep Line Stress-Free: Ensure the braided stainless steel hose is not twisted, stretched, or sharply bent.
  • Confirm Secure Connections: Verify push-to-connect is fully seated and FIP threads remain tight after installation and periodic use.
  • Inspect Braided Exterior: Look for fraying, corrosion spots, or bulging that could indicate internal wear.
  • Maintain Safe Operating Pressure: Stay within rated water pressure limits to avoid strain on fittings.
  • Flush Water Heater Periodically: Reduces sediment buildup that can stress connectors and reduce efficiency.
  • Replace When Needed: Any visible damage, leaks, or stiffness means it’s time for replacement to avoid water damage.
