The SportsArt Plate Loaded Smith Machine has a counter-weighted bar and vertical motion path for a smooth and effective workout.  In all press and squats exercises, the chrome Olympic bar travels on a linear bearing and chromed guide rod system, allowing you to lift to your maximum strength in the safest way possible.

The welded heavy-duty steel frame has a sleek appearance created through oval tube steel. Electrostatic powder coating insures the frame finish is scratch-free and ding-resistant for long-term, heavy use.
