Voile HyperCharger Alpine Touring Ski - 5205-171-2223

Revamping the Supercharger and making it lighter and Faster than ever before. The HyperCharger is a tool for any powder pursuit, launching you into hyper speeds through firm pack and floating like a bird through that deep, deep powder. With the Voile Hyper Rocker and a mixed Carbon and Paulownia wood core, this ski is light and fast. Voile keeps with their traditional Cap construction and utilizes the Chargers mid 100 waist to keep these planks engaged the whole time. It is hard to find that one ski quiver that will keep you skiing for multiple laps even on the more unforgiving days. The slight camber under foot and 2mm steel edge gives you outstanding contact between ski and snow.

What our Experts Think
  • High-performance alpine touring ski designed for powerful descents with efficient uphill capability.
  • Carbon-reinforced, ultralight construction reduces weight while maintaining strong stability at speed.
  • Mid-fat platform delivers dependable flotation in powder and solid edge hold on variable snow.
  • Rocker-camber profile enhances precision, turn initiation, and control across mixed backcountry terrain.
  • Stiffer flex pattern supports aggressive skiing and high-confidence performance on steeper lines.
  • Built for demanding objectives where downhill power is just as important as climbing efficiency.
  • Performs well in powder, wind-affected snow, and spring conditions in technical alpine environments.

Q&A

Q: What is the Voile HyperCharger Alpine Touring Ski designed for?
A: A lightweight backcountry touring ski built for steep climbs and aggressive, high-speed descents in variable mountain terrain.

Q: What makes the HyperCharger different from the standard Charger?
A: It uses Voile’s Hyper Series construction with a paulownia wood core and full carbon layup, significantly reducing weight while preserving the Charger’s powerful, big-mountain ski character.

Q: How does it perform on the uphill?
A: Excellent. Its ultralight construction reduces fatigue on long approaches and makes technical skin tracks more efficient.

Q: Is it stable enough for steep or aggressive skiing?
A: Yes. It is designed for strong edge hold, confident high-speed control, and reliable performance on steep alpine terrain.

Q: How does it perform in powder and mixed snow?
A: It provides good float in soft snow thanks to its rockered tip and balanced platform, while still remaining composed in wind-affected and variable conditions.

Q: Who is the Voile HyperCharger best for?
A: Advanced backcountry skiers who want an ultralight touring ski that still delivers powerful, charger-style downhill performance in demanding terrain.

Maintenance Tips
  • Wax the sintered base regularly to maintain speed, reduce friction, and protect against drying.
  • Keep edges sharp and clean for strong grip on icy skin tracks, firm descents, and mixed backcountry terrain.
  • Dry skis thoroughly after each tour—especially edges and binding areas—to prevent rust and corrosion.
  • Inspect binding mounts and hardware frequently; retighten screws if any loosening appears after long or aggressive use.
  • Repair base scratches and core shots promptly with P-Tex to preserve glide and structural integrity.
  • Remove snow and ice buildup from topsheet and bindings after use to reduce added weight and moisture retention.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight (vehicles, storage rooms), which can affect camber and base materials.
  • Apply a storage wax before off-season storage and keep skis in a cool, dry place.
