Voile V6 Alpine Touring Ski Ski - 5800-163-2324

The Voile V6 is the ideal blend of versatility and backcountry performance with an all-mountain waist width (100mm) and tip rocker. The rockered tip will help keep you out of the back seat when entering those patches of new snow. Paired with camber underfoot and tail rocker you can easily carve, but also scrub speed at a moment's notice.

V6 skis are engineered with a poplar core with carbon weave underneath and triaxial fiberglass on top. This makes the ski stiffer overall helping it float with the rockered tips. These combined layers contribute to a snappy, easy-turning feel for unbeatable stability. Long-haul backcountry skiers will relish the lighter load and all-around excellence of the V6, considering it their "daily driver" on any mountain!

The key to the V6 surfy feel is the 2cm of taper, but well constructed Voile Hybrid Rocker gives the fatter tips more control. With a layer of rubber overlayed on top of the ski's metal edges, you get a stiff all-mountain ski with a float that won't have a ton of chatter when the snow is variable. Although you can go wider with the Voile V8, we find that most people use the V6 as the daily driver until the snow gets knee-deep.
