Voile W HyperCharger Alpine Touring Ski - 5211-154-2223

Voile offers the same great ski as the regular Hypercharger, but in the shorter lengths of 154 and 164 cm for lighter skiers. The women's HyperCharger has all the characteristics that a powder-hungry lady is looking for. With a 100mm waist and a hybrid rocker for making floating turns, the HyperCharger takes all the ideals that a powder ski needs. From being able to handle any hard pack when nearing the bottom of the valley or floating through powder on wide open meadows, the HyperCharger floats and plays harder than most.

The 2mm steel edges and camber underfoot allow for an effortless turn through crud while the rocker gives you that extra lift when riding into the deep. The Hypercharger is coming in lighter than its predecessor giving you that extra boost in the competition on the skin track, making breaking trail a no-brainer. Take these planks out in the early sunrise and we guarantee you'll want to run laps with them till dusk.

Q&A

Q: What is the Voile W HyperCharger Alpine Touring Ski designed for?
A: A women-specific ultralight backcountry touring ski built for big-mountain lines, steep ascents, and high-performance descents in variable snow.

Q: What makes the W HyperCharger different from the standard Charger?
A: It uses Voile’s Hyper Series construction with a paulownia wood core and full carbon layup, significantly reducing weight while maintaining a strong, powerful downhill feel tuned for lighter skiers.

Q: How does it perform on the uphill?
A: Excellent. The ultralight build makes long climbs and technical skin tracks much easier, reducing fatigue on big touring days.

A: Yes. Despite its light weight, the Charger shape provides strong edge hold, stability at speed, and confidence on steep terrain.

Q: How does it perform in powder and soft snow?
A: It offers good float with a rockered tip and supportive platform, allowing smooth turns and controlled skiing in deeper or variable snow.

Maintenance Tips
  • Wax the sintered lightweight base regularly to maintain high glide efficiency and protect against drying.
  • Keep edges sharp and burr-free for reliable grip on icy climbs, firm snow, and mixed backcountry terrain.
  • Dry skis thoroughly after each tour—especially edges, bindings, and tip/tail zones—to prevent rust and corrosion.
  • Inspect binding mounts frequently; lightweight touring setups benefit from routine screw-tightness checks.
  • Repair base scratches immediately with P-Tex to preserve speed and prevent core exposure.
  • Clean off snow and ice buildup from topsheet and binding areas after use to reduce moisture and added weight.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight (vehicles, storage rooms) to protect camber and materials.
  • Apply a storage wax before long-term storage and keep skis in a cool, dry environment.
