Alpha Tools Variable Speed Wet Polisher - VSP-320

Alpha has replaced the VSP-120 with the newly designed VSP-320. Although the general appearance of the machines is similar, we have overhauled these models to make them durable and dependable tools. The major upgrade came in the form of heavy-duty gear systems, including the step-down transmission and a bevel and pinion gear to produce the variable speed range of 700 to 2,500 rpm. Thanks to the high-tech machine center, we have all parts precision-machined to reduce noise and vibration during the application. This upgrade ensures a long-lasting tool life and a comfortable application.

Features
  • The spindle is now specially coated to reduce friction and extend the life of the oil seals
  • The water hose is now very flexible and kink-free
  • The electrical power cord has an in-line GFCI
  • Hose lengths are now 15 ft. and are bundled by 3 ft. of an EasyOn-EasyOff sleeve that improves the maneuverability of the polisher
  • Adjustable splash guard and ventilation cap minimize water getting inside the motor housing - exclusive to Alpha Tools

Q&A

Q: What is the Alpha Tools VSP-320?
A: It is a professional variable-speed wet polisher designed for polishing, shaping, and finishing stone surfaces like granite, marble, quartz, and engineered stone.

Q: What is the speed range of the VSP-320?
A: It offers a variable speed range of approximately 700–2,500 RPM for controlled polishing and edge finishing.

Q: What materials can it be used on?
A: It is designed for stone fabrication applications including granite, marble, quartz, engineered stone, and solid surface materials.

Q: Is it a wet or dry polisher?
A: It is a wet polisher that uses a water feed system to reduce dust, control heat, and improve finish quality.

Q: What is the motor power?
A: It uses an 800W (7A) motor built for continuous professional use in fabrication shops and job sites.

Q: What size polishing pads does it use?
A: It is compatible with 4-inch (100 mm) polishing pads with a 5/8"-11 spindle thread.

Q: Does it help reduce dust and overheating?
A: Yes, the wet system continuously cools the surface and suppresses dust, improving safety and finish quality.

Q: What makes it better than a standard grinder?
A: Unlike grinders, it is designed for controlled low-speed polishing, reducing burn marks and improving surface finishing quality.

Q: Is it suitable for professional use?
A: Yes, it is widely used by stone fabricators, countertop installers, and construction professionals for precision finishing work.

Maintenance Tips
  • Always use clean, filtered water to prevent clogging in the internal water line.
  • Avoid running the polisher dry, as it increases pad wear and motor heat.
  • Check carbon brushes periodically and replace when worn to maintain motor efficiency.
  • Let the tool run briefly after use with water off to clear internal moisture.
  • Do not overload pressure—use light, even hand pressure for longer tool life and better finish quality.
  • Clean backing pad threads regularly to prevent pad slippage or imbalance.
  • Inspect bearings for unusual noise or vibration and service early to avoid costly repairs.
  • Disconnect power before any cleaning, pad change, or inspection for safety compliance.
  • Use only compatible wet polishing pads designed for variable speed grinders.
  • Store with hose detached and coiled loosely to avoid kinks and water flow restriction.
