Bells Of Steel Hydra Four Post Converter Bench - 4POST-CNVT-HDR-SET

The four-post bench station is what you see at powerlifting meets and serious commercial gyms. It’s a dedicated bench press station, made your way when you add your favourite safeties and j-cups — and the Converter Bench makes it happen.

What makes this one different from the competition is the floating bench design.

The Converter Bench hangs between the specialty crossmembers with ZERO POSTS UNDERNEATH. That means you can tuck your feet back as far as you want without hitting anything. For powerlifters who rely on leg drive, this is a big deal.

Hydra’s 1" hole spacing lets you dial in your J-cups and safeties to the exact position you need. Choose between roller J-cups, sandwich J-cups, regular J-cups, monolift attachment — spec this station out however you want. For more versatility, grab 4 Manticore Mag Pins (Full Length), so when you’re done benching, you can pop the pins, wheel the bench out, and use the uprights for other attachments. Dips. Seal rows. Whatever.

60" Hydra uprights built with the 3”x3” and 5/8" hole cross-brand compatibility you know and love (or hate, if you work for a competitor.) Looking for 1" holes? We make a 60" Manticore version, too. Either way, you’re getting IPF competition height and a four-post station that’s more versatile than anything else on the market.

This setup includes the Converter Bench and a pair of specialty 43" crossmembers (also available separately). Choose your j-cups and safeties to seal the deal. It’s also compatible with the spotter deck we’re developing so your favourite hander-offer (technical term) can get in on the action.

What our Experts Think
  • A true competition-style bench station built into your rack. The Hydra Four Post Converter Bench creates a dedicated, four-post bench press setup with IPF-style positioning and a rigid, centered lifting platform.
  • “Floating bench” design is the standout feature. The bench hangs between crossmembers with no uprights underneath, allowing unrestricted leg drive and natural setup positioning—closer to a powerlifting meet experience.
  • Highly adjustable for precision training. 1" hole spacing lets lifters fine-tune J-cup and safety positions for exact bar alignment, improving repeatability for strength progression and competition prep.
  • Built for heavy, repeatable performance. The 3" × 3" Hydra steel structure and crossmember system provide a stable, rigid platform that minimizes flex under heavy bench loads.
  • Modular ecosystem advantage. Designed to work with a wide range of Hydra attachments (J-cups, safeties, monolifts), making it a long-term upgrade rather than a fixed bench station.
  • Dual-use efficiency for home gyms. When the bench is removed, the uprights can be used for dips, rows, and other rack attachments, improving overall training versatility.
  • Best suited for: powerlifters, strength-focused lifters, and home gym users who want a dedicated bench press setup with competition-style positioning and stability.
  • Expert tip: this system delivers the most benefit when bench press is a priority lift—its biggest advantage is consistency in setup and leg drive compared to standard rack benching.
