Bells Of Steel Hydra Two Post Converter Bench - FEET-2POST-CNVT-HDR-SET

Remember the bench station at the gym you grew up going to? Two posts, open front, clean and simple. This is that, but better.

The two-post setup uses one pair of 60" uprights at the back and the Converter Bench’s own front foot on the other end. Front foot stabilizers keep everything locked in place. Add your choice of j-cups and spotter arms for safe solo training that the old commercial gym benches never had.

It’s less expensive than the four-post setup but gives you the same dedicated bench station experience. IPF height is maintained (because we engineered the crossmember holes and front foot height to line up perfectly), and you still get full access to all Hydra and Manticore attachments on the uprights.

When you’re done pressing, the front foot stabilizers double as bar storage. And if you need the uprights for something else, wheel the bench out in seconds. Available in Hydra with flat feet, Hydra with mini feet, or

Q&A

Q: What is the Bells Of Steel Hydra Two Post Converter Bench (FEET-2POST-CNVT-HDR-SET)?
A: A dedicated bench press station from Bells of Steel that converts a Hydra rack setup into a stable two-post, IPF-style bench station using uprights plus a built-in bench system.

Q: What makes this “two-post converter” design different?
A: It uses a minimalist open-front layout (two uprights at the rear and a front stabilizing bench foot), giving you a competition-style bench station without a full four-post cage.

Q: What exercises can I do with it?
A: Flat barbell bench press, heavy paused benching, incline/decline variations (depending on setup), and rack-assisted pressing movements using compatible J-cups and safeties.

Q: Is it stable enough for heavy lifting?
A: Yes. The system is engineered with a front stabilizing base and rear uprights to keep the bench locked in place under heavy loads, similar to a gym bench station layout

Maintenance Tips
  • Wipe bench pad, frame, and adjustment points after each use to remove sweat and moisture
  • Inspect ladder adjustment system, pins, and hinges regularly for secure locking
  • Ensure all incline, flat, or decline settings are fully locked before lifting
  • Tighten bolts and hardware periodically to maintain stability under load
  • Check bench pad for wear, tears, or compression and replace if needed
  • Keep Hydra rack connection points clean and free of dust or debris for secure attachment
  • Avoid dropping weights onto the bench frame or pads to prevent damage
  • Store in a dry indoor environment to prevent rust and hardware corrosion
  • Clean only with mild soap and a soft cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents
  • Proper maintenance ensures safe support, smooth adjustments, and long-term durability for Bells Of Steel Hydra Two Post Converter Bench
