Imer MIX 200 FP Vertical Shaft Mixer - 1195163

Using our mixer technology found in our Mix series we combined the need to mix 2 bags of fireproofing per batch on 120V. The Mix 200 FP is a non towable, portable mixer that can fit over sprayer pumps to discharge into the hopper. The extra large opening of the iDUST. grate makes it possible to load the mixer and still keep the dust under control.

Features
  • Heavy duty vertical shaft mixer for dry pack mortar, mason's mortar for brick and high strength grouts for concrete pipe joints
  • Equipped with iDUST Grate for increased dust protection
  • Dust grate has been made bigger to accommodate fireproofing sized bags
  • Adjustable legs for various discharge heights
  • Fits right through 32" wide doorways
  • Paddle kit is designed specifically for fireproofing, giving more shear than standard paddle
  • Standard hose attached to easily add water

What our Experts Think
  • High-performance vertical shaft mixing system - Designed for fireproofing, masonry mortar, and high-strength grouts, delivering forced-action mixing for demanding construction materials.
  • Compact yet powerful batch capacity - Features a 5 cu ft drum with ability to mix ~2 bags of fireproofing per cycle, ideal for continuous jobsite workflow.
  • Reliable industrial motor setup - Equipped with a 120V, 1.5 HP electric motor with reverse function, ensuring consistent torque for heavy mixes.
  • Vertical paddle forced mixing action - Uses a central shaft paddle system for strong shear mixing, improving material consistency versus standard drum mixers.
  • Dust-controlled loading design - Includes an iDUST grate system that reduces airborne dust while loading bagged materials, improving site cleanliness and operator safety.
  • Adjustable discharge height system - Offers multiple discharge positions (22", 27", 32") for direct feeding into pumps or containers, increasing workflow efficiency.
  • Jobsite mobility built in - Fitted with transport wheels and a compact non-towable frame, allowing easier positioning in tight work areas.
  • Heavy-duty contractor durability - Built for continuous professional use with reinforced frame and high-torque gearbox system, suited for harsh construction environments.

Q&A

Q: What is the Imer MIX 200 FP used for?
A: It is a professional vertical shaft mixer designed for high-performance mixing of fireproofing, mortar, grout, and dry-pack materials on construction job sites.

Q: What makes it different from a standard drum mixer?
A: It uses a forced-action vertical shaft paddle system that mixes from the center outward, producing faster, more uniform results for stiff and bagged materials.

Q: What is its mixing capacity?
A: It handles a 5 cu ft drum with about 2 bags of fireproofing per batch, making it ideal for high-output work.

Q: What power does it use?
A: It runs on a 120V, 1.5 HP electric motor with reverse function for efficient mixing and discharge control.

Q: What materials can it mix?
A: Fireproofing materials, masonry mortar, dry-pack, grout, and other premixed bagged construction materials.

Q: Does it help with dust control?
A: Yes, it includes the iDUST grate system to reduce airborne dust during bag loading.

Q: Is it portable?
A: Yes, it is non-towable but includes transport wheels and a compact frame for jobsite mobility.

Q: Can it discharge directly into pumps?
A: Yes, it is designed to sit over sprayer or pump hoppers with adjustable discharge heights for continuous workflow.

Q: What is its key jobsite advantage?
A: It delivers fast, consistent mixing of difficult materials while reducing dust, labor effort, and downtime on large projects.

Maintenance Tips
  • Clean immediately after use: Wash drum, paddles, and discharge gate before mortar or plaster hardens to prevent buildup and imbalance.
  • Keep mixing paddles clean: Remove all residue to maintain consistent mixing quality and reduce motor strain.
  • Inspect gearbox regularly: Check for oil leaks or unusual noise in the vertical shaft drive system and service as required.
  • Check discharge gate: Ensure smooth opening/closing and clean sealing edges to prevent material leakage.
  • Tighten frame & fasteners: Regularly verify bolts, hinges, and support structure for safe, vibration-free operation.
  • Monitor motor ventilation: Keep cooling vents clear of dust and cement to prevent overheating.
  • Check electrical system: Inspect power cable, switch, and connections before use—especially on wet job sites.
  • Store dry & covered: Protect from moisture to avoid corrosion on drum, frame, and mechanical components.
