Maintenance Tips
  • Clean the Glass or Polycarbonate Panels Regularly: Use a soft cloth with mild soap and water to keep panels free of dirt, algae, and debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners that may scratch the surface.

  • Inspect and Tighten Frame Components: Periodically check the aluminum or steel frame for loose bolts, screws, or connectors. Tighten them to maintain structural integrity.

  • Lubricate Moving Parts: Apply silicone spray or a light lubricant to door hinges, window openers, and vents to ensure smooth operation and prevent rust.

  • Check Weather Seals and Gaskets: Examine seals around doors and windows for wear or gaps. Replace if damaged to maintain insulation and prevent moisture intrusion.

  • Maintain Proper Drainage: Clear gutters and downspouts of leaves and debris to ensure proper water flow and prevent overflow or leaks.

  • Ventilate to Prevent Condensation: Use roof vents and doors to regulate humidity inside the greenhouse, especially during cold months, to reduce mold and mildew growth.

  • Protect in Severe Weather: In case of heavy snow or wind, consider reinforcing panels and removing snow accumulation from the roof to avoid excessive weight or pressure.
