Remember the bench station at the gym you grew up going to? Two posts, open front, clean and simple. This is that, but better.
The two-post setup uses one pair of 60" uprights at the back and the Converter Bench’s own front foot on the other end. Front foot stabilizers keep everything locked in place with built-in bar storage for more value. Add the j-cups and spotter arms of your choice for safe solo training that the old commercial gym benches never had.
It’s less expensive than the four-post setup but gives you the same dedicated bench station experience. IPF height is maintained (because we engineered the crossmember holes and front foot height to line up perfectly), and you still get full access to all Hydra and Manticore attachments on the uprights.
When you’re done pressing, the front foot stabilizers double as bar storage. And if you need the uprights for something else, wheel the bench out in seconds.
Q: What is the Bells Of Steel Manticore Two Post Converter Bench (2POST-CNVT-MTC-SET)?
A: A modular bench press station from Bells of Steel that converts a Manticore rack setup into a dedicated, IPF-style benching station using two uprights plus an integrated bench system.
Q: What makes it different from a full power rack setup?
A: It uses a two-post configuration instead of a full four-post cage, giving a more open training area while still maintaining a stable, dedicated bench press station.
Q: What exercises can I do with it?
A: Flat bench press, incline/decline bench variations (depending on bench setup), rack-supported barbell pressing, and accessory rack work using compatible attachments.
Q: Does it support heavy lifting?
A: Yes, it’s built for serious barbell training with 3” x 3” Manticore uprights and a stable bench platform designed for heavy pressing and progressive overload.
Q: Is it adjustable and customizable?
A: Yes, it uses a modular system where users select J-cups, safeties, and attachments separately, allowing full customization of the bench station setup.
Q: What advantage does the two-post design offer?
A: It provides an open-front benching experience, easier setup, and a smaller footprint compared to a full rack, while still supporting heavy, stable lifting.
