Patterson Medical Suspension Mobile Arm Support - 7112

The Suspension Mobile Arm Support is designed to allow you to comfortably and safely support your arm. When in use the rotation occurs behind, or next to the side of your arm at your ball bearing joint, to be closer to the center of gravity. The addition of our new Forearm Support Slide allows your forearm to be balanced quickly and easily with minimal tools required. Sizing should be measured by the distance from Olecranon Process to Ulnar Styloid minus 1-1/2". If the measured distance is 1/2" longer.

A variety of size and style options are designed to give you exactly what you need
Available in a folding option for easy transportation and storage

What our Experts Think
  • Advanced Upper-Limb Support System – The Suspension Mobile Arm Support is designed to offload arm weight and guide the upper limb through controlled, assisted movement for improved function and comfort.
  • Improves Functional Independence – Helps users with limited strength, neurological conditions, or post-injury recovery perform daily tasks like eating, grooming, and reaching with less fatigue.
  • Precision Mechanical Balance – Uses a pivot and counterbalance system that keeps the forearm supported in a natural, stable position close to the body’s center of gravity.
  • Adjustable & Task-Oriented Positioning – Fine-tunable height and resistance settings allow customization for therapy exercises and real-world functional activities.
  • Compatible with Rehab & Wheelchair Setups – Mounts to wheelchair or tabletop frames, making it suitable for clinical rehabilitation environments and long-term home use.
  • Smooth, Controlled Motion Assistance – Designed to reduce jerky movement and compensate for weak or limited shoulder and elbow control.
  • Clinically Trusted Rehabilitation Aid – Commonly used in neuro-rehabilitation, stroke recovery, and upper-limb motor retraining programs.
  • Durable Medical Construction – Built for repeated clinical use with a stable support frame designed to withstand daily therapy demands.

Maintenance Tips
  • Wipe frame, joints, and support surfaces regularly with mild soap solution; dry thoroughly after cleaning.
  • Inspect suspension joints, springs, and pivot points for smooth movement and signs of wear or stiffness.
  • Check mounting hardware and clamps frequently to ensure secure attachment to wheelchair or base.
  • Keep tension settings properly adjusted—avoid over-tightening or excessive looseness.
  • Examine arm trough/padding for cracks, compression, or loss of support and replace if needed.
  • Ensure cables or support mechanisms remain free from fraying, kinks, or obstruction.
  • Lubricate moving metal joints lightly (only if manufacturer-approved) to maintain smooth operation.
  • Store in a dry indoor area to prevent corrosion and maintain mechanical reliability.
