Portable Winch PCA-1264 Vertical Pull Winch Support - PW,PCA-1264

This winch support is expressly designed for vertical pulling with our winches PCH1000, and PCT1800. If you want to use the winch PCH2000, you will need to use the support PCA-2264.

It is equipped with an adjustable shelf and offers a solid and stable support allowing the winch to be properly seated. It also has a removable "V" shaped pulley mounted on ball bearings, providing optimum rotation. This pulley redirects the rope vertically at an angle to reach sections of towers or pylons far from the center. To install the rope, simply remove the "T" handle and pulley, thread the rope, then put the handle and pulley back in place.

Although it was originally designed for lifting, note that it can also be used for pulling when combined with the pivoting anchor (PCA-1332). This accessory therefore makes the PCA-1264 very versatile.

Note that when used for horizontal pulling; the "V" pulley is not used.

Q&A

Q: What is the Portable Winch PCA-1264 Vertical Pull Winch Support?
A: A heavy-duty steel mounting accessory designed to securely hold Portable Winch capstan systems in position for controlled vertical pulling and lifting operations.

Q: What is it used for?
A: It supports vertical rope direction through a built-in swivel pulley, allowing winches to lift or pull loads upward or along elevated paths when used with compatible mounting systems.

Q: What winches is it compatible with?
A: It is primarily designed for Portable Winch models such as the PCH1000 and PCT1800 (PCH2000 requires a different support model).

Q: Does it require additional parts?
A: Yes. It cannot be used alone and must be combined with compatible mounting accessories (such as tree or pole mounts) and proper rigging components.

Q: What are its key features?
A: It includes an adjustable support shelf, a removable V-shaped ball-bearing pulley for smooth rope redirection, and a reinforced steel frame for stability during load handling.

Q: Can it be used for pulling as well as lifting?
A: Yes. While designed for vertical lifting, it can also be used for pulling applications when configured with additional pivoting anchor accessories.

Q: Why choose the Portable Winch PCA-1264?
A: It improves safety and control by stabilizing the winch and directing rope vertically, making it suitable for forestry, utility work, and heavy-duty field operations requiring precise load handling.

Maintenance Tips
  • Inspect frame, welds, and mounting points before each use for cracks, bending, or loose hardware.
  • Tighten all bolts, pins, and connection points regularly to maintain load stability.
  • Clean dirt, mud, and debris after use to prevent corrosion and mechanical wear.
  • Lubricate moving parts (hinges, pivot points) periodically with manufacturer-approved lubricant.
  • Check compatibility and secure attachment with the winch before every operation.
  • Ensure vertical alignment is maintained to prevent uneven load stress or tipping risk.
  • Store in a dry, covered area to prevent rust and environmental damage.
  • Do not exceed rated load capacity of the support system or winch setup.
  • Inspect safety components (pins, locks, brackets) for wear or deformation and replace if needed.
  • Perform routine deep inspection after heavy lifting or high-stress operations.
