Q: What are the features of the DFH-1000B?
A: The DFH-1000B features a ductless design with a powerful filtration system that includes HEPA and activated carbon filters. It is equipped with an exhaust fan, providing effective fume extraction for environments that require burnout operations, while maintaining air quality in the workspace.

Q: Is the Quatro Ductless Burnout Fume Hood suitable for commercial use?
A: Yes, the DFH-1000B is ideal for commercial settings where burnout processes occur, such as laboratories, manufacturing facilities, and workshops. It is designed to safely remove toxic fumes, chemicals, and odors from the air.

Q: How does the Quatro Ductless Burnout Fume Hood work?

  • Clean the Interior and Exterior: Regularly clean both the interior and exterior of the fume hood to remove any dust, fumes, or chemical residues. Use a mild cleaner and soft cloth to avoid damaging sensitive components.
  • Replace or Clean Filters: The filters are crucial for effective fume extraction. Check the HEPA and carbon filters frequently for clogging or contamination. Replace them per the manufacturer’s schedule or sooner if performance is degraded.
  • Inspect the Fan and Motor: Check the exhaust fan and motor for dust buildup or wear. Clean the fan blades with a soft brush to prevent obstructions and ensure proper airflow. Lubricate any moving parts as recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Ensure Proper Airflow: Test the airflow regularly to confirm the fume hood is effectively removing fumes. If airflow is weak, inspect the filters, ducts, and fan for blockages or damage.
  • Check for Air Leaks: Inspect seals and connections around the fume hood for any leaks. If you find gaps or cracks, replace seals immediately to prevent contaminated air from escaping.
  • Monitor Filter Saturation: Pay attention to filter saturation, especially for carbon filters. If odors or fumes persist after use, it's time to replace the filters.
  • Inspect Electrical Components: Regularly inspect all electrical connections, switches, and components for wear or damage. If any electrical part shows signs of malfunction, repair or replace it to ensure safety.
  • Clean the Work Surface: Ensure the work surface inside the fume hood is free from chemical spills, dust, or particles. Clean it after each use to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Test Safety Features: Regularly check any built-in safety features, such as alarms or airflow monitors, to ensure they are functioning properly. Test these features monthly to maintain their reliability.
  • Store Properly When Not in Use: When not in use, ensure the fume hood is turned off and stored in a dry, clean area to prevent any buildup of contaminants or dust that could affect performance.
