Clean the Concrete Surface: Wipe down the concrete surface regularly with a damp cloth to remove dirt and dust. For stubborn stains, use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the concrete finish.
Maintain the Electronic Ignition System: Keep the electronic ignition system clean and dry. Check the connections periodically to ensure they are free of corrosion. Replace batteries or parts as necessary to maintain reliable ignition.
Inspect Gas Connections: Regularly inspect the gas lines, hoses, and connections for leaks, cracks, or signs of wear. If you smell gas, immediately turn off the supply and contact a professional for repair.
Fire Glass Care: If the unit uses fire glass or other decorative media, remove and clean it periodically with warm, soapy water to remove soot, dirt, and debris. Make sure it is completely dry before returning it to the fire table.
Clean the Burner and Venting Area: Regularly check the burners for debris or blockages. Use a soft brush to remove any buildup to ensure proper flame performance. Clean the venting area to allow for adequate airflow.
Descale the Water System: If using hard water, mineral deposits may build up. Use distilled or filtered water to minimize scaling. If scaling occurs, apply a descaling solution to clean the water system and maintain smooth operation.
Weather Protection: When the fire table is not in use, cover it with a weather-resistant cover to protect it from rain, snow, and UV exposure. This helps preserve the concrete, ignition system, and other components.
Check for Leaks: Inspect the base of the fire table for any potential gas leaks or water accumulation, especially after heavy rainfall. Ensure the unit is properly drained when not in use.
Seasonal Maintenance: Before periods of inactivity, turn off the gas supply, drain any water from the system, and cover the fire table to protect it from freezing temperatures or other environmental damage.
Use Non-Abrasive Cleaning Tools: Always use soft cloths, sponges, and non-abrasive tools to clean the surfaces, to prevent scratches or damage to the concrete and other components.
