Backwoods Adventure Toyota Tacoma Rock Sliders 4th Gen (2024-2026) - TT4S-9955

Introducing our 4th Gen 2024+ Toyota Tacoma Rock Sliders. The Short Bed models fit 2024+ Double Cab Short Bed and the Access Cab Long beds in both 4WD and 2WD. The Long Bed models fit 2024+ Double Cab Long Beds. These sliders give you superior rocker panel protection while also giving you the functionality of a step. At 0 degrees, these sliders still tuck up close to the body of your truck, giving you great ground clearance and peace of mind. The kickout (flared end of the slider) allows the rear of your vehicle to act as a pivot point, pushing the rear tire away from a rock or tree. Plus, it can be used as a wide step for accessing gear on top of your truck. Lastly, DOM tubing is some of the strongest steel material available, commonly used on high end sliders. These sliders can easily hold the weight of the entire vehicle and will give you ultimate protection on the trail.

What our Experts Think Ā
  • True trail armor for 4th Gen Tacoma: The TT4S-9955 Backwoods Adventure Rock Sliders (2024–2026 Tacoma) are engineered to provide full rocker panel protection with real load-bearing capability, not just cosmetic side steps.
  • Heavy-duty DOM steel construction: Built from 1.75ā€ American DOM steel tubing, designed to withstand direct impacts from rocks, ledges, and trail obstacles, while supporting the weight of the entire vehicle if needed.
  • Dual-purpose slider + step design: Features a 0° tight-to-body profile for maximum ground clearance while still functioning as a wide, practical step for cab and roof access.
  • Kickout protection geometry: Integrated rear kickout helps deflect the truck away from obstacles, improving clearance during tight turns and reducing body damage risk on technical terrain.
  • Bolt-on frame-mounted strength: Installs directly to the frame with Grade 8 hardware, ensuring structural integrity under repeated off-road impacts and recovery use.
  • Durable finish system: Includes black textured powder coat with bedlined top plates, improving grip, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability in harsh conditions.
  • Best suited for: 4th Gen Tacoma owners who want serious underbody protection for rock crawling and overland travel while still keeping everyday usability as a step system.

Q&A Ā  Ā

Q1: What are the Backwoods Adventure TT4S-9955 rock sliders used for?
A: They are heavy-duty rock sliders with integrated step function, designed to protect the Tacoma’s rocker panels from rocks, trail impacts, and off-road obstacles while also providing a stepping surface.

Q2: Which vehicles do they fit?
A: They are designed for the 4th Gen Toyota Tacoma (2024–2026) in both short bed and long bed configurations, depending on cab and wheelbase setup.

Q3: What is their main benefit?
A: They combine off-road protection + daily usability, acting as both armor for the truck’s lower body and a practical step for accessing the cab or roof rack.

Q4: What material are they made from?
A: They are built from 1.75" DOM steel tubing with gusseted reinforcement, a high-strength material commonly used in premium off-road sliders for impact resistance.

Q5: Do they affect ground clearance?
A: No. The design is tucked close to the body at a 0-degree angle, helping maintain factory-like ground clearance while adding protection.

Q6: What is the ā€œkickoutā€ feature?
A: The rear kickout helps deflect the truck away from obstacles like rocks or trees, while also giving a wider stepping area for roof or bed access.

Q7: Are they bolt-on or weld-on?
A: They are 100% bolt-on rock sliders, designed for direct frame mounting using included hardware—no welding required.

Maintenance Tips
  • Rinse regularly with fresh water to remove mud, road salt, and trail debris after off-road use
  • Dry completely to prevent moisture buildup around welds, mounts, and contact points
  • Inspect and re-tighten mounting bolts after rock impacts or heavy trail driving
  • Clean with pH-neutral soap; avoid abrasive cleaners that can damage powder coat finish
  • Check for chips, scratches, or exposed metal and touch up promptly to prevent rust
  • Keep step surfaces clear of packed mud, rocks, or ice to maintain safe footing
  • Periodically inspect welds, frame mounts, and brackets for stress or movement
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to road salt; increase wash frequency in winter or coastal areas
  • Ensure sliders remain free of trapped debris that can retain moisture and cause wear
  • Verify all hardware remains secure after high-impact or technical trail useĀ  Ā  Ā
