Backwoods Adventure Tundra Front Bumper 3rd Gen (2022-2026) - BWTU3F-9800

Our Tundra hidden winch bumper completes the front end of your truck by adding much needed recovery points, winch capabilities, strength, and of course, good looks. In keeping with tradition with what we're known for at Backwoods, this bumper uses our 2 piece with an aluminum outer shell and a steel inner winch cradle. This keeps the overall package both extremely light and strong. The aluminum outer shell keeps things super light weight and will not rust, while the steel inner winch cradle gives you superior strength for recoveries and winching.

    What our Experts Think
    • Serious front-end upgrade for the 3rd Gen Tundra – The BWTU3F-9800 is a hidden winch-ready hybrid bumper designed for 2022–2026 Toyota Tundra builds, combining protection, recovery capability, and clean overland styling.
    • Lightweight hybrid construction – Engineers favor its aluminum outer shell + steel winch cradle design, reducing weight while maintaining structural strength for recovery use.
    • Winch-ready recovery system – Built to support up to a 12,000 lb winch, paired with integrated frame-mounted recovery shackle points for serious off-road scenarios.
    • High-clearance, off-road optimized design – Improves approach angles compared to the factory bumper while maintaining a low-profile “hidden winch” aesthetic ideal for overland builds.
    • Factory integration focus – Designed to work with OEM parking sensors and body lines, making it one of the cleaner bolt-on upgrades in the segment.
    • Rust-resistant and durability-focused materials – Aluminum exterior prevents corrosion, while steel inner structure ensures long-term durability under load and recovery stress.
    • Balanced weight for real-world builds – Approx. ~58 lbs total system weight, keeping front-end load reasonable compared to full steel winch bumpers

    Maintenance Tips
    • Wash after off-road use: Rinse mud, salt, and sand from seams, recovery points, and winch cutouts to prevent corrosion buildup
    • Inspect mounting bolts regularly: Check frame mounts and hardware torque every 1–3 months, especially after trails or towing
    • Check winch + recovery points: Ensure shackles, mounts, and winch bolts stay tight and free of rust or debris
    • Protect powder coat finish: Touch up chips or scratches early to prevent oxidation on exposed metal edges
    • Keep drainage areas clear: Remove packed dirt in internal cavities and lower cutouts so moisture doesn’t sit trapped
    • Avoid pressure blasting seals directly: High-pressure water aimed at wiring, sensors, or winch components can cause damage
    • Lubricate hardware seasonally: Light anti-seize or thread protection helps prevent seized bolts in harsh climates
    • Inspect after impacts: Even light trail contact—check alignment, weld points, and frame mounts for stress or shifting
