Q&A

Q: What is the WLWVU26 ventless hood used for?
A: It is a commercial 26-inch ventless recirculating hood system designed to allow electric cooking equipment to operate without external ductwork in small kitchen setups.

Q: What size cooking zone does it support?
A: It supports up to 26 inches of electric cooking equipment, such as compact fryers, griddles, convection ovens, or hot plates.

Q: Does it require external ventilation?
A: No. It is a self-contained ventless system that filters and recirculates air internally, eliminating the need for a traditional exhaust hood and ducting.

Q: What filtration system does it use?
A: It typically includes a multi-stage filtration system (grease, HEPA, and carbon/charcoal filters) to capture smoke, grease, and odors before air is recirculated.

Q: Does it include fire protection?
A: Yes. It features a built-in fire suppression system (ANSUL-style protection) and safety interlocks that shut down equipment if a fault or fire condition is detected.

Q: What type of cooking equipment can be used?
A: It is designed for electric-only commercial cooking equipment, including small fryers, griddles, hot plates, and similar appliances.

Q: Is it suitable for commercial kitchens?
A: Yes. It is ideal for small restaurants, kiosks, ghost kitchens, cafes, and leased spaces where installing ductwork is not possible or cost-effective.

Q: What are the main benefits?
A: It reduces installation costs, enables flexible kitchen layouts, and allows compliant cooking in locations where traditional venting systems cannot be installed.
