Linhof 4x5-2x3 Reducing Adapter,  Ground Glass Back (9+) - 1786206

This Linhof 4x5-2x3 Reducing Adapter is in great condition with minor handling wear. I rate it cosmetically a (9+). The adapter is in proper working order and ready to be used. The included 2x3 ground glass black is in similar condition, also rated a (9+). The grid focusing screen has some faint marks on it, but is otherwise clear. The finder opens & closes properly and the leather is not deteriorating. Please refer to the photos for details.

What our Experts Think
  • Purpose‑built reducing adapter for large‑format flexibility
This Linhof 4x5‑to‑2x3 Reducing Adapter with Ground Glass Back lets you mount 2¼″ × 3¼″ (2x3) film holders or backs on a 4×5 camera — expanding format options without a full camera change.
  • Ground glass helps focus and compose precisely
The included ground glass back provides a viewing/focusing surface scaled for the smaller 2x3 format, making critical focus and composition easier with reduced format film.
  • Ideal for roll film and sheet film adaptation
Especially useful if you want to shoot medium‑format film holders (2¼ × 3¼″) or specialized backs on a Linhof 4×5 body — giving you more creative and economical shooting options.
  • Solid build and collector appeal
True to Linhof’s reputation, this adapter feels robust and reliable, matching the mechanical quality expected from large‑format accessories.
  • Great for experimental and multimedia workflows
Photographers exploring adapter‑based setups (film or digital with appropriate backs and focus strategies) will find this a valuable tool — especially for macro, panoramic, or unconventional formats.
  • Considerations before buying
Requires compatible 2x3 film holders or backs and may involve planning for correct film plane registration; this isn’t a autofocus digital solution, but a precision mechanical accessory for traditional cameras.
