Maintenance Tips

• Biannual Deep Cleaning
  Perform a thorough cleaning of the machine's water system at least twice a year. This includes scale removal and sanitization to prevent mineral buildup and maintain ice quality.

• Descale Internal Components
  Prepare a solution by mixing 8 ounces of Scotsman Clear One Scale Remover with 3 quarts of warm potable water (95°F to 115°F). Pour the solution into the reservoir and initiate the clean cycle by pressing the Clean button.

• Sanitize the Ice Bin
  After descaling, sanitize the ice storage bin using an approved sanitizer to prevent microbial growth. Mix 4 oz (118 ml) of NuCalgon IMS sanitizer with 2.5 gallons (9.5 liters) of warm potable water (90°F to 110°F) to create a 200 ppm solution.

• Clean the Air Filter
  Regularly remove and clean the front-facing air filter to maintain proper airflow and efficient cooling. This should be done every six months or more frequently if needed.

• Monitor AutoAlert Indicators
  Pay attention to the AutoAlert control panel's LED lights, which notify you of scale buildup and when it's time to descale or sanitize.

• Inspect the Drain Line
  Ensure the drain line is clear and unobstructed to prevent water backup and potential overflows. This should be checked during each cleaning cycle.
