Maintenance Tips
  • Daily Cleaning:

  • Clean the cast iron grates after each use with a wire brush to remove food particles and grease.

  • For a deeper clean, soak the grates in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry completely before placing them back.

  • Empty and clean the stainless steel drip trays daily to prevent grease buildup.

  • Wipe down the stainless steel exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent.

  • Weekly Maintenance:

  • Inspect the cast iron burners for blockages or debris. Ensure that the flame is steady and blue. Clean or service the burners if necessary.

  • Test the pilot lights for each burner, ensuring they are lit. Relight them if needed following the manufacturer's instructions.

  • Check the gas valves to ensure they turn smoothly. If any valve is stiff, lubricate it or consider replacing it.

  • Monthly Maintenance:

  • Inspect the gas line for leaks or wear. Use a soapy water solution to check for leaks by applying it to the connections and looking for bubbles.

  • Check the adjustable legs for stability and ensure the unit is level.

  • Clean the exhaust hood and ventilation system to prevent grease buildup and ensure proper airflow.

  • Safety Precautions:

  • If converting from natural gas to liquid propane, follow the manufacturer’s conversion instructions carefully.

  • If experiencing issues beyond routine maintenance, contact a licensed technician for repairs to ensure safe operation.
