An extremely robust and powerful dust collector. Compressed air is rigorously and automatically pulsed through the filter cartridges, continually cleaning them to ensure optimum performance. Engineers from Contec took convenience to the max when designing this unit by constructing the R2D2 as a two component system. This simplifies transportability, yet while on your jobsite the units are easily linked together to establish a single rolling component.
The power unit is home to all the electronics and components such as the ventilator, motor and compressor. The accompanying filter unit includes the 5 long life filter cartridges as well as the dust containment system of your choice. This filter unit is available in two distinct versions. The basic version uses a wheelbarrow concept available in two different sizes, and the second version collects the dust in buckets, allowing those to be lined with disposable bags.

Clean Filters Regularly: Clean or replace the filters frequently to ensure efficient dust collection and prevent clogging. This will help maintain optimal suction and airflow.
Inspect for Wear and Tear: Regularly check for any wear or damage to the dust collector components, including hoses, filters, and seals. Replace parts as needed to ensure efficient operation.
Empty Dust Bin Frequently: Regularly empty the dust bin to prevent overflow and ensure the system operates at full capacity.
Check and Tighten Fasteners: Periodically inspect and tighten all bolts, nuts, and fasteners to avoid vibrations and ensure the dust collector stays securely assembled.
Lubricate Moving Parts: Lubricate any moving components, including motors and bearings, as per manufacturer guidelines to reduce friction and wear.
Monitor Electrical Connections: Inspect the 480V, 3-phase electrical connections for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure all wiring is intact and properly connected.
Inspect Airflow and Suction: Check the suction pressure regularly to ensure the dust collector is functioning at full capacity. If airflow is reduced, check for blockages or leaks in the hoses.
Test Motor and Fans: Regularly inspect the motor and fan for signs of overheating or wear. Clean and service them to keep them running smoothly.
Ensure Proper Storage: When not in use, store the dust collector in a dry, clean environment to prevent rust or damage from moisture
