EL6695 is an EL6xxx series terminal manufactured by Beckhoff. This terminal weighs approx. 75 g, operates at a temperature range of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, and its current consumption (from the E-bus) is 400 mA.
The EL6695 EtherCAT bridge terminal enables real-time data exchange between EtherCAT Terminal strands with different masters. Asynchronous communication via AoE, FoE, EoE, NPI, etc. is also supported. Synchronization of distributed clocks is possible in both directions. The EL6695 differs from the EL6692 (which will continue to be available) in terms of a flexible CoE configuration, a device emulation option and a significant increase in data throughput. A convenient configuration interface is available in the TwinCAT System Manager, as with the EL6692. The power supply for the secondary side (RJ45) is via an external connection, the primary side is supplied via the E-bus. The bridge terminal can also be used for integrating a subordinate PC system as an EtherCAT slave.
The bridge terminal supports a Cage Clamp wiring mechanism with a spring-loaded technique. The accessory has a stripping length ranging between 8mm and 9mm. The power supply for the primary side is received through an E-bus and an external connection for the secondary RJ 45 side. The unit offers assistance for asynchronous communication through AoE, NPI, EoE and FoE among other protocols. The accessory must be stored at temperatures between -25°C and +85°C and operated at temperatures between 0°C and 55°C. Relative humidity should be 95% without condensation. It can be used as an external reference clock in TwinCAT, has flexible PDO mapping and features synchronous data exchange.
